So glad I took the class because the 3 models do have differences you won't know just by looking at the dealer oir doing a short test ride. Like any car or motorcycle you do feel the bumps. I try to avoid them, if not I raise myself off the seat a little, so I won't feel it in my back. You can always buy after market shocks that are even better. I hope this helped! Enjoy!

      @@guapomob14 I am out of my warranty so nothing "has to be done." Check with your dealership. It is always a good idea to bring it in for a once over...tighten up the nuts and bolts, check fluids, tire pressure, filters etc...

    Yeah Beth and I see you still have not found that back attachment (Sissy Bar) so that when you go long hauls, like Daytona 2021 you can ease back and take the pressure off them aching back muscles!! You must be the first female mechanic on record to not have grease stained hands and I note shiny nail covering. Take care and see you next time.

      Thanks for the compliment Atholl! I honestly thing a sissy bar would look silly on the Ryker, but it may be necessary for a long trip.

    Nice review. I will say that I thought the lock would only work with the bike turned on, which would be more secure I think. Regardless, nice video just the same. :)

    Hi Beth Good Job on the install. I have an idea. Where the Max Mount is, I have a Linq Top Case. I thought it would be nice to have a rack mounted to the Max Mount so the rack could extend beyond the Linq case or whatever you have . Follow me? Max Mount and then a rack behind it. My local fab guy can do it for about $450-500. I know it powdered coated and strong, but too much of a cost. Have you heard of any products like this?

    Wouldn't it make more sense to wire this to a "powered on" circuit? That way it can only be opened when the key is on. This set up, just doesn't look secure to me. Anyone can open your trunk, anytime. Just like without this expensive modification.

    • @RykerRydes
      @RykerRydes  Před 3 lety

      That's interesting. But, unless someone know the secret hiding place of the switch, I am not sure anyone can open it. If it's powered and your battery dies or your lose your key, how would you access the contents? I see your point, but I have had it on for a while now and it works well for my needs. Have an awesome day!

  • @rottnpup

    I don't see a fuse, anything connected directly to the battery should be fused or you have a fire hazzard.

      @RykerRydes  Před 3 lety

      I agree with jerry, I looked through the posts and was going to suggest installing an in-line fuse like 6" away from the battery connection. If that red wire ever rubs through it could potentially start a fire and or damage the battery in the failure process. Love your channel and the honesty about your installing process. Keep up the great content and when your done with all the improvements, are you moving to an F3 next?
