I tried to paint the galaxy on my first painting (I am 10- just realised I’m talking like a professional lol) and I ended up changing my mind and going with the moon at night with clouds around it
Also, tape around the canvas (as a border) so when you’ve finished painting you rip the tape off and it’s a clean border :)))

Honestly the secret to motivation is not to wait to have it before you start. Just start. Why wait for something as unreliable and flighty as motivation?
