Some serious Attenborough narration vibes! 😊 I could listen to this all day!
Haha thanks Dylan appreciate all your feedback
It was a joy to hear your narration here mate!

This might be the best video you have created so far. The tight shots and detailed explanation of your wiring techniques with graphic overlays was very well executed. Great job; Thanks.
Wow, thanks! Really glad you liked it!
I always find myself watching your skilful edit - superb job Darren.
Thanks 👍
That's exactly the sort of video I would have loved as a beginner. Actual explanation. Well done! More please!
Thanks 😊

It would be lovely to get a bench tour of your trees !
Everywhere is such a messssss haha thanks it would be good to do it in autumn though! I’ll see what I can do!
@@grobonsai The mess makes it more interesting !
Well done, Darren!!! 👍
At some point, your eloquence got so high that I had the feeling I was listening to Kevin McCloud presenting Grand Design!
The tree is wonderful… tried the same with my 2 large spruces, but my mileage varied! 😅
Haha thanks mate, trying different styles to see if I can crack long videos but struggling. Hope you’re keeping well
@@grobonsai all good, mate! Just strangled by work… experimenting is the key to growth! Please keep up the great work! 👏

Thank you so much 😊
Great vid just subscribed fella 👍👍
Thanks for the sub!
Very nice video
Thanks for watching
Awesome video! And just in time as I'm about to work on a similar spruce. Is it risky to prune too hard at once for this species? I have to chop the trunk as you did in the video and select the branches too, so I'm worried about weakening it too much. Thanks in advance!
Yes it’s important to leave plenty of healthy foliage so the tree continues to thrive. It’s why mine looks messy at the end - kept more foliage/branches for health
What is the specific species of this tree? Obviously a spruce, is it Alberta or Norway, etc.?
Hi it is Picea glauca albertiana conica
Interested to know how much work time this video captures?
It was a single styling, although due to family and health it was spread over 3 days. Filming makes everything take 10x longer
👍👌
🙏👍
Is this the spruce you mentioned Darren? Look forward to watching 😁
It’s nowhere near as nice as yours mate
@@grobonsai now I find that hard to believe but I do appreciate the kind words 😁
Hello everyone 🙋🏻♂️
@@TOMSAI hello Tom.
I believe this wasn't the live chat.
@@grobonsai nope I'm calling it.. yours is definitely better 😅
Very different to your usual style Darren, and sorry, but it all sounds so contrived and 'clinical' for me. Much prefer your earlier videos that are really natural.
I appreciate the honest feedback and I definitely see what you mean. I’m experimenting with video style as I’m desperate, basically
