China has mandatory service for males. If he was recently out, he might still remember how to do it. If this stays up on Bili Bili, the site it is posted on, then it is state propaganda and we have a serious problem then. It means that a deal has been worked out where the now unemployed, young Chinese men are going to be encouraged by the CCP to sign up to fight for Russia, likely with state issued gear that they are being sold on credit that they "work off" as part of their wages. Take home everything except the weapons (what survives).
This will get rid of the unemployed men that can cause problems for the CCP, bring money into their economy, and return combat experienced soldiers that can be sent to do the invasion of Taiwan later, especially if they send officers to observe and to "work" there, where they can get experience leading these troops so that they also get experience. This will also help with the language and cultural issues that would come up is they just dumped them in there. Likely this will be just a few at first to see if it works on a "voluntary" basis. Encouragement will turn into something more like a mandate and orders if people don't take the hint or complain, as per normal CCP policy implimentation.

@@bigheadrhino Thanks for the clarification. That means this guy is either recently separated, which I do know for a fact that recently separated, young soldiers are being recalled to service in China, or he is currently still in the PLA (People's Liberation Army). The CCP allowed him to leave or he paid bribes to leave and go fight there. This is dangerous as the CCP values life about as much as Russia does, even less when it comes to people from the countryside that come to the cities for work in the factories and in construction, which is one of the main groups that has been protesting for their missing wages after factories and construction sites have shut down, then the companies fold, leaving them unemployed and wanting their money.
The CCP considers them a threat because people from the countryside in villages and towns have resisted CCP officials recently and the Communist movement was "born" according to their own mythology in the countryside and pushed by farmers and factory workers to overthrow the rich land and factory owners along with the corrupt government. The CCP is now on the other end of that and they have told this mythology to the people for generations. It is likely that they fear revolution or at least civil unrest from this group, so they are looking for ways to keep these men employed or get them out of the country. A war would do both, but they aren't ready to invade anywhere, so turning them into soldiers of fortune would be a valid strategy under their line of thinking.
