    Had those tires on my Jeep JK and took them off after near miss accidents on I-95. These tires are not for daily driving and will veer you to the left and/or right whenever they want you to. Looks great but definitely not for daily driving! Good video Dex...

    they're good mud tires, on par with Swampers. I run the 36.5 by 15.5s on my lifted Excursion. It's heavy the extra float from that width is a life saver.

    37s look great and CONGRATS! You're a true definition of a Jeeper...save up $ and do it a little bit at a time and you find real joy in doing it. I didn't know you're on an island (I'm new subscriber). I was really looking forward to seeing you 4x4 wheel the 37s on the trussed Dana 30 axle to see how it holds up along with other stock components like the steering box. I guess you won't be doing any hard wheeling on an island :) Anyway...CONGRATS again it's great to see a fellow Jeeper do it step at a time with what they have. You're welcome to knock on my house door in Colorado anytime.

    Happy for you dude! They are a bit noisy but not unbearable & not too bad for a tire that aggressive...but pretty much everyone that runs Mud Grapplers know what they're signing up for when they get them. I'm actually curious as to what exactly was it Rough Country told you that convinced you to go with these.

      AdventureDex yeah I put 37in general grabbers on my Jeep, same model, with a 17in wheel, was way too heavy. I had semi trucks pull away from me at lights and ended up burning up my torque converter because I put off regearing it. The grapplers are even heavier, I had them on my truck. Also how loud is the tire hum, I couldn’t imagine how loud it would be inside a Jeep?

      Lizbeth Rodriguez 6" lifts on JK's are redundant. It's all about Low Center Gravity builds. Coilover conversions aside, hardly any manufacturers even make a 6" lift except Tereflex, which they're about to discontinue & Rough Country...that alone says a lot.

      +blackjeepjk Thanks for the comment! Haven’t regeared yet! I know it is a must but until I learn how to do it myself it won’t get done! No Jeep shops on the island! Thanks for the support

      Re-gearing your jeep is NOT something you learn to do on CZcams. It’s a very technical job that requires skill, experience and the right tools. Over time you will tear up your gears and then you will have a jeep you can’t drive. I enjoy your videos and would hate to see one titled “I screwed up my jeep”.

    • @adventuredex
      @adventuredex  Před 6 lety +1

      +Dave Carroll Wtf are you taking about... Do you know how to re-gear a Jeep Yourself or did a shop do it for you?? There is no Jeep shops where I live so I don’t have the luxury to just drop off my Jeep and pick it up when it’s ready... I have to learn and do everything myself so I am open to help but your comment comes off sarcastic and not motivating...

      AdventureDex I apologize you took it that way really. I didn’t mean that. I really do enjoy your videos. I am like you in that I do as much work myself as I can and enjoy learning new things (twice your age tho :) I participated in the gearing of my jeep but my friend who is a master mechanic did most of the heavy lifting. I am not a mechanic. The tires are the final gear in your drive line and once they are changed everything is out of whack and needs correcting. I’m sure there are automotive shops near you that can help you or where you can learn how to do it. I will say tho ... you have a responsibility to your viewers to discuss the mods you do as well as the pros and cons and any safety or maintenance issues they may cause/require down the road. Good luck to you and keep the videos coming! Wish you all the best.

      +Dcarroll 5 No need to apologize, I appreciate your comment. If you watch the axle truss video, I spoke about re-gearing and my plans. I will definitely be re-hearing in the near future. Thanks for the support!

  • @theprofessor2562
    @theprofessor2562 Před 5 lety

    My dear friend. A friendly advice, always put tinner slim tyres. If you want to go for a true 4x4 journeys. Fat tyres will always get you stuck. Else if you want to go for show off vehicles this modification that is done will do, else if u r a true off read enthusiastic person. Stick for slim tyres when u r going for mud or snow. If u want to see check the WRC or OFF Roading jeeps in high range areas....
