Lapsung & Natsuki Uemura - ...and breathe?

One of four winners of the And Breathe music competition - Lapsung and Natsuki Uemura.

This short performance focuses on breathing as a physical form, movement of the lungs and the diaphragm as a core theme. Playing on themes of anxiety, stress and the unpredictability of the chest muscles in situations provoked by these sensations. Rather than be a sympathetic nod to those affected (including the artists) by breathing difficulties during anxious episodes, the piece is intended to ‘rip off the band-aid’ in exposing these sensations to those that play-off anxiety and panic attacks as an overreaction.
