This is simply brilliant. Can't even imagine what it would be like to see live...
It's just ridiculous how much talent Jennifer and her crew has. They do not get the recognition they deserve at all. I'm not a dancer but I'm a fan of dance being that I was a DJ for 20 plus years, and seeing people dance is one of the reasons I started in the first place. And I know from my years of being courtside to the world of dance that these people are stars.
Jen Romen is definitely one of the best and most artistic choreographers of our time.
This literally made me cry, it's so beautiful. The texture and colour of the movements with the precision and speed of whole-body tutting.
I almost skipped this video. This is one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever witnessed.
Every once in a while I watch people dance and their performance make my body react. I sort of freeze and I am mesmerised. This is such a performance.

Wow! The staging and lighting are so simple yet spectacular! I have never seen such phenomenal use of a single Spotlight! It was almost like looking at something in a jar or in a window, and I loved the way that the light played on dancers coming in and out of it. Absolutely amazing wonderful job!!!
Nothing has ever moved me quite like this before. This is absolutely beautiful, and amazingly performed and choreographed.

Personally, i interpret this for myself as a metaphor for my autism & resulting depression: i am always like a deer in the lights while around me there is this darkness. At times i am in control, at others it controls me and swallows me. I move fast, so do they, and i feel powerful in my fragility like a rock that breaks when tossed against another. I dont see it as my enemy, nor as a friend. It does damage but pain is also great source of inspiration. I view this clip as a cycle - at the end the beginning is about to happen again.
try dancing for yourself. connecting mind and body is the best comfort.
I also have autism, I understand how you feel I have been there. One of our strengths is our endless information within our minds, see how you can add to your deer story, our minds are a story to be rewritten, over and over, you are not a deer but a lion, roaring, with a endless spirited power of light existing your body. I think this is the most informed piece of Artistry.....from my point of view,this piece speaks the loudest as it deals about the silent negative noises in our heads....that lead to stress,ultimately DEPRESSION......
For me it´s like facing and healing trauma ... but whatever the main point is - it is a masterpiece.

It is ok, I don't think the lady in white would get a gig in another group so she started her own and made herself the centre of it all... I don't think it is good enough to do that, maybe mix it up short stuff.

Cette chorégraphie est, en effet, très intéressante. Mais il manque la magie. On ne cerne pas nettement la relation du personnage principal au groupe. Ça ne raconte rien. Elles dansent trop pour danser. C'est trop mécanique.
Il manque un souffle commun, une pulsation commune primaire qui agite le groupe, le fait qu'aucune d'elle ne se meut sans les autres. Tout mouvement trace, déplace l'air, et fait effet sur l'autre. Ça manque.
Je déteste ce costume blanc.
Mais elles dansent bien, la chorégraphie est conséquente, intéressante et captivante.

No, not a fan. The choreography is obscured by the large appearing ill-fitting white suit on the lead "dancer" and the other dancers are almost entirely obscured by the choice of lighting. I suppose some would call this "dancing". I'm not one of them. Even the music is obscured by the strange movements and staging.
You have no clue I'm afraid . The control and emotional intelligence of this choreographer is world class. The other dancers are meant to be obscured . One of the best groups in the world,

It is okay if this is not your cup of tea since art appreciation is subjective. But your saying this is not even dancing indicates deep confusion on your part.
@@babyfacedunnreading this, I actually wondered if the “ill fitting suit”represents someone in power who isnt mentally equipped to be there. Maybe she bit off more than she can chew and the pressure is taking hold. She’s letting Her personal demons control her when she’s wagging her finger “no” letting power consume her. Eventually she fights them off and stays true to who she is.
