The "understudy" sketch was pretty hilarious, especially on that night, it was one of the funniest ones of the night.
Leading lady of the masterpiece that is the Chuck E. Cheese sketch this season. Kudos to the writers and everyone involved with that underground favorite sketch for so many of us. Chloe is always great.
7:07 Jackals Assemble! Martin Short wasn't in the "original" of _Father of the Bride_ since the original version of that film was made in 1950. It starred Spencer Tracy in the title role, Joan Bennett, and Elizabeth Taylor. Martin Short (hilariously!) played Franck in the 1991 remake, which starred Steve Martin in the title role, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams (in her film debut), George Newbern, BD Wong, and Kieran Culkin.
Her Oscars sketch made her. Now she's just operating constantly at a high level. And she's a delight. Look out World.

The Steve Martin 90s movie was a remake of a movie from the 50s starring Spencer Tracy Elizabeth Taylor.
I came here to say this and agree. The Steve Martin version was perfection. I like it even more than the old version.
Having said that, Chloe is amazing in SNL. I just wish they could have given her a different vehicle rather than a remake like this.

I think it’s really interesting that she talks to the audience for a lot of the interview instead of only to Seth. It makes me wonder if that will become the norm as more and more actors have a background in speaking directly to their followers through Instagram or TikTok.

People are comparing her to Kate quite a lot but it’s going to be hard for her to fill her boots. Kate had an amazing range of characters, could do a lot of impressions, isn’t a Scientologist, had a good singing voice. It’s an uphill battle for her, for sure.
