- Billy Strings kicks off his two night stand at Virgin Hotels’ Event Lawn with what BS aficionados assure me was his debut of Don Schlitz’s “The Gambler” (made famous by Kenny Rogers). Recorded September 3, 2021.

If Billy Strings is within driving range, get the tickets. Crazy talent and a tremendous show. A complete WOW of a concert. I'm tempted to quit my job, buy a van and follow him around the country, lol. He is that good.
Well I would but I live in Australia and I doubt he’s ever gonna be in driving distance but would probably be worth the trip

I saw him Saturday night in Atlanta and had my face properly melted. Holy crap they are SO GOOD! I'm a fan for life.

This is "country" in the broadest sense. He goes from Deadgrass to bluegrass to rock&roll. Also does a great job with the old time country... Thankfully doesn't touch today's pop country (American country radio fare)....

I was in a band just after high school, about 1974 I think it was, and we played this song. That's how far back it goes. A Kenny Rogers hit.
I've been to lots of concerts in various genres of music. I'm talking I've seen it all from death metal to gospel. And Billy Strings in concert is probably one of the coolest experiences I've ever had the pleasure to have. If you're a true music lover, make an effort to go see this guy!
You can tell by the crowd. Billy and his band are igniting everyone - even this old gal who's not much of a bluegrass fan (but I recognize and appreciate talent).
