It sucks by the time I was 41 I had lost both parents and all my grandparents and I was close to all of them, so you that still have them appreciate every day you do, but I have my sister her family and my son and Im greatfull for that.
Same with me. Some people have their parents for 60+ years and I’m jealous.
I lost my mom at 39 and my dad at 44 so yeah exactly what Tyler said about sharing milestones -- it leaves you feeling hollow.

All I can say is I'm glad I was on good terms no problems what so ever. I was hell raiser back when I was young but I was a mumma's boy lol, people say that as a joking insult but I feel lucky I was... But sorry to hear about all your unfortunate losses it sucks big-time.
I am 23 and in the past 8 years I have lost my dad and 3 of my grandparents. But I have great mom, grandmother and 2 brothers and sister and after all that we are very close to each other and everybody is doing great. It sucks, but everybody has to deal with it in some point of life, is just part of being.

it's so ridiculous it IS cool lol. It's like the airliner seats in his 200,000 mile other ferrari. I had a 1980 dodge omni O24 in banana yellow.....it had a plaid interior.....it just WORKED lol it was so ugly it was beautiful. The vinyl was all cracked so I put some zebra stripe seat covers....
The thing was so bad it even had yellow rally rims on it lol.....I called it my Banana Mobile!

@@calebdyer474 The problem is when, later on, this car could get misrepresented as 'numbers matching' and demand two or three times the price from an unwitting collector. Not saying Hoovie would do that, and this car's transmission is already non-original, but it still makes me a little sus (of the engine guy).

So glad you still have the Wagoneer. My dad had one for a while and had a lot of fun with it even though it was rusty. Also bought a 2nd one for parts. It's what got me interested in working on cars when I was growing up.

So glad you got the Jeep back! Same thing happened to our Waggy. 18 months sitting at a body shop with no progress. Maaco in KC bailed us out and it is off for an engine rebuild in Topeka. Hope to be driving it again soon!

Re-stamping the VIN pad is easily detected in NCRS judging. In any case, the main thing judges look for are block number and casting dates (back of the block in raised font and essentially impossible to fake). Casting date is typically about 10 days prior to the car build date on the VIN tag. Re-stamping of VIN pads is only useful for fooling a novice.
That headliner belongs at Virginia Tech with that color palate
I love how you show all the best and worst cars out there. On a side note, I am lucky my parents are still alive though I live in Colombia and not usa anymore, it's sad to be away from your family trying to cut out a good life(which I have). I know one day I'll have to say goodbye to my parents. Just don't want to ever do that. So my heart goes out to you and stradman too. Thanks for all you do hoovie.

Junkyard digs, and Thunderhead289 as well. The 427 that was in that corvette was most likely on its way out when it was put in. The old owner probably bought the absolute cheapest 427 out there that was probably abused its whole life and made it look pretty. If he had lived to the end of the project, he likely would have had the same issue.

The Wagoneer reminds me of the Scout II's my day used to lease in the early 70's. It's a mixed blessing how cars can remind us of loved ones we miss. I went om Auto Tempest, Hoovie. I will use the site in the future, easy to navigate.
