Location of the TV series HEIMAT by Edgar Reitz in the Hunsrück | Where is Schabach? | Germany

"HEIMAT" - The films "HEIMAT" (German: HEIMAT = Hometown) by the German director Edgar Reitz are considered "films of the century". The films in the "Heimat 1" series were shot in the Hunsrück in the 1980s. The same applies to the films in the film series "Heimat 3" and "The Other Homeland". Based on the SIMON FAMILY and the Hunsrück village of SCHABBACH, HEIMAT tells the German chronicle of simple life in the 20th century: from the end of the First World War to German unity.
We visited the locations of the films from 1984, 2004 and 2014. There we looked at the filming locations. What are the locations like today? What did they look like 40 years ago?
