One of my friend has one of those reiver & he took off the original tandem axles & put 17/22 dual ratio Fargo truck backend & outrun encava & coaster buses if you know how to set those old Leyland you roll with anything on the road.
n Christie these old reivers aint no joke till this day when properly maintained .My friend used to drive 1 of them .After a while they replaced the rear ends with a 17-22 dual ratio Fargo back-end that truck was soo quick no encava coaster or 1/4 million would test it they nicknamed it the blue bullet.
These outdated trucks r generally slow asf on the roads its either they're over loaded or underpowered but they r a fucking nightmare to drive behind on narrow roads wen loaded
My dad had haulage business 70s 80s till mid 90s rievers he had loads of them 24t tippers

I owned this reiver in the 1980's. from Westmoreland made the body, put in small nine.pretty like money.bad like yaws.nice to see it still look good.

Agree, I can not understand people doing it if they have to pay for the truck, and pay for repairs too. Dangerous on the roads too.
