This is the 4th leg of our 10,000nm sailing voyage from the Eastern U.S. to Canada's Pacific Coast aboard our Allures 39.9, "Big Bear." In this episode, we sail offshore 1,000nm across the Caribbean Sea in one offshore stretch, from the Southern Bahamas to the entrance of the Panama Canal. Emily is a newbie, and Brian has over 30k miles of single handed sailing experience. We share our perspectives and the unexpected challenges we face along the way.
