It’s what makes Vegeta such a good foil to Goku, who doesn’t really care if his opponent is stronger and almost exclusively fights people who he knows are stronger than him because he wants to really test himself. He’s not about to toy around with “fodder” unless they’re a threat to people he does care about.

You completely missed the whole point of the crying scene and seemed to think that vegeta crying automatically made him a weaker character, in fact him crying made him a lot more of a real character then whatever the heck dragonball super is doing. Vegeta cried because for all his life he thought it was his destiny to beat the tyrant that had plagued his nightmares and life for years. He cried because he realized that sometimes no matter how hard ya work, you won't always reach every goal you set. He cried because for the first time in his life, he wasn't the prince of saiyans, he was a broken man. Him crying didn't do ANYTHING to hurt his character if anything it only strengthened it. That's like mocking someone for crying over breaking every bone in their body and then immediately changing tune when that same person becomes famous. That crying was better and more real then anything vegeta EVER did in the cell saga, more real then anything he does in super. That was a moment we'll never get again because apparently "tough people don't cry". So sorry sir but I don't see how you can just deny all of vegeta's other achievements in this arc and then give credit to his others just because he cried after getting his spirit broken by the person he hated most.
