When a politician doesn’t want to be recorded, there’s a reason. Lot’s of people talk about being transparent, but they don’t really want to be that open. Knowing how MN politics lean, they have an agenda or narrative they want push, whether you like it or not! Keep it politics free!
With the political climate these days everything said can be taken out of context. If you're not prepared for it as a politician these days I can 100% understand they'd rather not be recorded.

As someone that worked in Federal government for 30 years, I understand the hesitation. He had to determine all the angles that things could go including out of context clips. The hesitation is not 'deer in headlights', it's calculated thought and risk management decision making. People that haven't been in that situation have no f'n clue.

The fastest way to lose half your audience. In this day and age it's better to stay away from all things political if you care about subscriber count. You cannot win no matter the side or if you are right or wrong. Hell, you may have already lost viewers from the choice of t-shirt your son wore. I don't make the rules, but I sure have seen how the game has changed in the past 6-8 years.

The facts are facts. Iowa taxpayers paid for a fertilizer plant to keep prices competitive. The fantastic people at Koch Industries is trying to buy the plant for $3.6 billion. Of course if they are successful they absorb a competitor and the farmers fertilizer costs will go even higher. So their only hope is that the president the Millennial Farmer despises and let’s his kid wear a shirt degrading will recommend it is a violation of anti trust laws and the courts will block the sale. That won’t happen if Trump is elected. So yeah it kinda pisses me off when your Dad wears a shirt asking for support but you trash the people that can help and are actually being supportive.

Friend of Mine also a farmer here in Germany, said t his local member of the Bundestag (German parliament) if you want to talk to farmers do the following: take 2 two weeks of. Bring a pencil and a piece of paper with you go to the farmers and talk to them. Write down what they say and leave all the cameras and journalists behind you. And if you are back in Berlin, take all your notes and what you have learned and do your fucking job. Make politics for the people you stand for.

I have heard Zack speak on other channels about politics. Guess what? I still couldn't tell you which side he falls on. Also, most farmers have the opinion that our political leaders are garbage, on both sides. Also, Onx shirt was spot on.
I'm just curious if paying attention to politics could save or cost you and your families lives, would it be worth paying attention to then? Research Agenda 21, Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, or S.D.G's.

What a shame. The lack of political content on this channel was always refreshing and an escape from hearing about it all the time. I sincerely hope it does not change here.
If the governor wants to commentate on your channel then he should comment on it in his own forum. You have worked long and hard to not politicize the channel. I think sticking to that recipe is a better idea than the alternative. As other viewers have pointed out there is also the Podcast. I think that would be a better place for the governor's visit. From an outsider's perspective, having politicians visit farmers is always a sketchy thing. They're merely looking for good PR, that's it.
The politicians visiting farms are looking for fields to spread their BS on. But Zach doesn't have livestock, so perhaps some all organic BS would help those tissue samples!

About 5 years ago I had a surgery and they pulled about three feet of my intestines out and it was cancer but I didn’t have to do any chemo or anything and that was 5 years thank you Jesus so I am a happy well adjusted older fellow but right after about 3 years ago when my mom got sick that all I did was watch your videos I swear you and Chet kinda got me through a rough couple of years and would just like to thank you. Hope it’s a great season but it’s been a weird season this year so good luck.
