A lot of these commenters must be trolls… I live in the US, spent 10 years in Texas, 18 in Missouri, 3 in Florida, 3 in Oregon, 2 in Kentucky… and I have NEVER seen someone carrying an AR-15. I’ve only seen a handful of people noticeably carrying handguns.
The idea that this guy wouldn’t have caused suspicion freely walking around with an AR-15 because “it’s America and everyone carries guns” is just dumb.
He was not walking around freely with an exposed AR-15. The weapon had a folding stock and fit completely inside the medium backpack he was seen wearing.
Thank you for that information, as this made no sense how no one saw it before he got up there. It's ridiculous that this isn't explained anywhere in any of the videos I've been watching for weeks.

Do you suppose he might be worth finding and interviewing? Was there bodycam footage? What is that officer's testimony? "I fell, and then went about my day" doesn't quite seem like the full story. Was the officer not prepared to confront the person? Was he not sent with backup? Aren't these basic questions a journalist or news network might want to ask and have answered?

The simplest explanation is that there's a failure to have speedy communication channels, plus a failure to secure all the possible access ways to the roof. An impossible explanation is that there was a conspiracy involving local police, Secret Service and media to leave DT unprotected and then cover it up.

here's my question. there appears to be a massive security effort given all the motorcades, local security, and a large secret service presence. Who's paying for this? the RNC? the Trump campaign? the Taxpayer? I understand Secret Service protection in day to day things for top officials, but these rally's are way beyond that.
