Nothing beats Memphis rap for the darkest rap music. Very similar to how black metal emerged in the metal scene from the 80s - this is about way more sinister vibes in the music. Love how they captured that shit.
Bit more recent, but check some Devilish Trio
Black metal is dope as fuck.
That intro track is crazy. The way they used that vocal sample with the piano is just awesome.
beautiful classic memphis album
The word beautiful? You are a joke
BONE-CHILLING AF AND PERFECT TAPE QUALITY
grab my masks sample is just perfect
Fact's man no words needed for that masterpiece 💯❤️🤌🏾
I love Isley Brothers samples
that makes sense! it sounds like that i fw them too @@barrywilliams5295

Very Haunting sounding Melodic in a creepy way but all Original Artist's get props from me
9:30 you can hear them laughing while singing the hook 😭😭😭

Still liked it made me laugh
These beats are 🔥🔥🔥
mad good, thanks for sharing
Certified hood classic
nice production on this
I love this mixtape 📼 straight hell🔥fiya … the whole tape is gold. Most of what be coming out is influenced by Scarecrow/Lord Infamous DJ Paul and 36 mafia. I used to listen to this album during periods of darkness and malice. It would put my shields up or armor me against whatever my opponent had. I especially love this line by grim at 19:35 😅❤🫡🦾🤙🏾
beautiful🤩
lovely
Devil sh!t and No matter whatever are my favourites from this album
Can anybody tell me if the remastered mixes differ at all from the OG mixes? (alternate beats, removed samples etc.)
I can hear the demons comin’ out this record mane!!!
Does anyone know where to get the CD please?
the gn players player and cheefaz (both CDs)
through download. grateful for the attention
the screaming in Grim Reality sounds amazing
Pretty sure thats a whole ass cat
oh really? I also found that sample here czcams.com/video/nt0mZIDP47U/video.html but I guess it still could be
youtube might just remove that reply for the link but idk
@@DJL3G3NDthats close and a good find but it isnt the source of the sample in Grim Reality. Because this album is from the early 90s which predates that example by like 12-15 years…
I think they made it by looping it through delay and flange/chorus.
demons coming out of this
ah.. Memphis never misses
Now memphis worse than ever

This version sounds better than the newly remastered one that just dropped 💯💯
If u wasn’t bumpin this type shyt n da 90s u can’t be from Da M
the intro is a sample of Gangstas paradise right?
yep
Grab my Mask👌
That sample from the end of gangstas paradise is 🔥
sicc
yezzur this is the version with Horror Stang, sounds so grimey
Mike mike one of the top female memphis rappers 🔥
Memphis in the mid 90s really was the original modern equivalent of Trap music, just a lot more inventive and unique than the monotonous bullshit of today which all sounds completely identical.
Yeah modern trap sucks and yet it dominates the contemporary rap scene unfortunately
@LowerEastSidePR Horrorcore also originated in other regions, and imo other horrorcore scenes like Houston and Sacramento were better
P sure trap took a lot of inspiration from Memphis rap, so that's prob why.. I think Gucci even said in an old ass interview he wanted to listen to the rawest shit, which was rap from Memphis at the time.
nice pfp
No matter whatever
ohhhhh it's gangster's paradise. or, what's the original sample? on track 1
Yeah its gangsters paradise you got it right
BTW, what software were they using to make these beats? Octamed?
Pretty sure it was all hardware if I’m not mistaken
I'm hearing SOME Roland mc808 in the mixes.
@@MaxW-er1hmdr660 dr5
Grimm has said in interviews that he used a Boss DR-5 drum machine and a Gemini Sampler for a lot of his beats.

Sorry I only own the reissue from tapehouse USA, you can get that for around 20 USD with shipping if its still available.
This tape is worth at least 1000 now. Good luck finding a real copy for 100
@@soren_prod Hm idk why u make concern about dat seems worth it 😏
@@c0j85 I was just saying how dude offered 100 for the OG tape there’s no way someone would sell the real deal for 100
@@soren_prod that tape ain't worth crap. Like you
53:00 was cool
Lay It Down is so perfectly out of tune
I know dats mike mike in looking for a murder, but she kinda sounds like kingpin skinny pimp at da same time Right?
many rappers were influenced by Skinny Pimp.. hes probably the king of dope
Is the Havoc a group? Just like C.o.C. ?
graveyard productions is the group, havoc is the name of the tape. I assume ur referring to children of the corn with the acronym and graveyard productions is basically an earlier version of that group, plenty of shared members.
@@bachesag_ thxxx for the answer , whats the members names and wht they do today?
@@Chris-ck9lm Grimm still does music and i think redd dog still with grimm i asked grimm if murda one sweet talk etc if they ok. He said that they are ok and are working and have started famlies.

there's a punk band called the havoc, i thought this had something to do with them. i was very wrong.
*this is actually VERY Black**(Death)Metal, i don't fully enjoy it but i just thought i'd say. no one cares. parts of it are good.
