Especially as I was just trying to decide between the Impact or the Behringer rd-8.
Definitely leaning toward the Impact.....I think.....less instruments ....less individual outs...but more more versatile tweakable kick and snares....

So many people say about limited modulation options with 'impact' but ...as far as I know it's always possible to apply filter on your pattern (or on its specific components like only "the kick") after exporting the sound to DAW...

The impact does indeed have a separate out for the toms. I was also confused about this but if you connect all of the kick, hats, snare and FM outputs the tom output will be on the mix out.

yo haha funny vid. I have impact, love the thing....was curious if i was missing out on OG at all. I like the idea of more individual outs, voices, and also the filter. If you see this, do you the individual outs by-pass the filters like the impact outs bypass distortion?

@@travisdumais2538 nice nice. its funny I bought the impact first, and i was considering the OG because of the more individual outs. The impact's make due, but it would be nice to split the separate snares and symbols also. I would need a crazy patchbay/interface/mixer to have that many individual outs with other synths for bass and lead for a live jam, tho. anyways...VERY NICE video, I am seeing the DB get love lately, I think the naysayers are out of their mind. if you click my name youll be met with the drumbrute haha.
So the hi hats are better on the brute and has a amazing randomness while impact has a better kick and snare therefore much better? I have got this right?
the cymbal on the og brute is better. both have randomness. kick is way better on impact ::)

IMO Impact sounds more 808ish and traditional. If I want those sounds I'd rather just pull them up in the DAW. I love how liquid and weird the OG sounds especially when you play with the filter.
yeah ive actually been using the OG again and that filter does have almost like a liquid sound to it. esp with the resonance boosted

Fantastic stuff. I kind of want a DB Impact, and this video is doing well to sway me. BUT, I have a Korg Volca Drum atm, and that's holding me over for now, because it can make some REALLY fat sounds. I don't really play live, so the small form factor of the Volca isn't really a bother.
its all about the fat thing juicy spicy kicks. any updates on if you got the DB?
@@travisdumais2538 Have not! Money's been tight so I haven't had the chance to, plus other things are taking priority when I do have spending money. Maybe in the future.
You have to replace the analog board on the drum brute. Arturia will send to you with instructions.

@@travisdumais2538 Early Drumbrutes can have a noise channel failure that affects the snare, maracas, tamb, etc. I don't think Arturia is offering any upgrades, just repairs for this specific issue!

Он говорит: во-первых, спасибо за твой комплимент! Но я согласен, DrumBrute имеет широче диапазон звук. Если тебе ничего, что твой кик и малый барабан слабее, то DrumBrute лучший выбор. Я все ж таки буду купувати Impact, тому що я зрозумів, що використання "Color" дає можливість для модернізування любого звуку (окрім Cow) і виходить, що у ньому не 12 звуків, а цілих 23! (якщо використовувати "Color) Мене це повністю влаштовує. Дуже дякую вам, ви кльові!
