Stanley - quadruped robot - the high RPM robot dog!

  • Thanks to the low reduction ratios, parallel mechanism and great performance of capstan drives and BLDC servos Stanley is able to move it’s legs extremely fast and with very high accelerations.
    Stanley is a BLDC driven capstan based quadruped robot. We use FDM 3D printing and 2D milling in FR4 to make it. Drivers used are mjbots moteus r4.5, the main computer is a Rpi4. The motors are 90KV 8308's.

      Brushless AC motors. High power draw, but great in terms of output density
