Don't misunderstood, they are people from forest department conducting rescue operation. It's not easy to transport such a giant animal from one location to another. It may seem cruel but this is probably best and safest way to transport elephant.

The forest Department should evict people encroaching into elephant corridors instead of capturing a wild elephant in its own elephant corridors.
Release all captive elephants including kumki elephants in the forest to roam free in the forest with their own kith and kin.
Evil practice to keep elephants in captivity , train elephants to fight wild elephants , poke them with Ankush , force them to obey unnatural commands and sit on top of their delicate neck.
Forest department should do reforestation in the denuded forest area , dig ponds and lakes at strategic points for storage of rain water for elephants and other wild life.
