Mark is a one of a kind, he sincerely loves what he does and has a love for the cars and people who come to him. He is not a fake money grubber. Love Graveyard cars..
Your cars are works of art. I can't even watch these videos because I'm so jealous.
its so cool how much you know about the MFG process, the numbers and the problems coming out the factory
We need people like your dad. I don't care about matching numbers cars. But for those who do, they can appreciate your dad who pays attention to the fine details. My 70 challenger 440 is not matching and my 69 tribute bee car is really not matching but I am just happy driving them. I get asked if it is number matching I say no....where is your mopar?
I've done something similar with my '68 Camaro. There are so many tell-tale items on these early cars. Do your homework and you can find ways of telling original from a fake.
e.g. True SS Camaro cars has a different (and heavier) hood. Guys can put an SS hood on a car, but seldom will also change the hood springs to the SS version with two more spring turns factory installed for the heavier hood.
Detective work is fun. Nice job to Graveyard.
Correct, bet most car guys would never spot that.
I could care less about clones, numbers etc the car drives the same and doesnt know the difference. These things were being faked in the 70s
The Balancer is Heavier on a 6 pack and the connecting rods are heavier as well.
“Too much negativity around this engine for me too put it back in.” 😂
good answer, you are the smartest most correct numbers guy on this last important car build, i sure hope the guy is so unhappy he just gives me the car and title. Cowboy
I hope nothing happens to Mark.. so much information in his head.
The top on that green car looks like it was made out of one of Worman's old suits..... shiney and wrinkled.
The Blank Face and just genuine lol i get this show was great back at that time but i wish i had it now
I started laughing when you said you liked to have cocoa in your coffee, I thought my father was the only one that did that!
Coffee and hot chocolate does taste good together.
It’s called Mocha. :)
Wish I could afford one ! Thanks for sharing !
I'm just glad that they FINALLY got to the thumbnail title (subject) of the episode. Albeit in the last 5 minutes of the episode...
I always come to the comment section first on a GYC video because of the clickbait and non answers to the title which is too common. Thanks, I'll just watch the last 5 minutes and not be disappointed, I hope.
All The Year"s Grateful Dead Played In Oregon, Cousin Dougie DEFINITELY Caught More Then A Couple Show"s !!!! Also, Mark , Royal.......
**I WANT 2 SING **BOTHERED* *CATER*
The engine is a fake. Jim Root is not contacted on this episode. A bit of deceptive click bait
How would you know that. Just curious
@@randy9573 I was suckered into watching the episode by the title. You're welcome.
I've been a Slipknot fan since I was a wee little kid (born in 92 found them before two towers were hit....) This was HARD clickbait they didn't even play the song. I was baited, I'm a bit salty about it to. Never known trust like the nine.
saved me 43 mins lol
Thank you, I was gonna watch this.
I don't know what the follow up episode is to this one....sigh
I know they repost episodes but it gets hard to keep up through CZcams...
Great videos everyone!😊👍👍😎
When I was 18 yrs old, I ordered a 1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye in B3 SuperBlue.
It was a 318 cu inch and 3-speed on the console. I replaced the Carter carb with a Holley 500 2-barrel carb. It has a single exhaust, but I later replaced it with headers and dual exhaust.
It came from the factory on May 17, 1972...I sold it on Ebay on Christmas 2005.
Do you wish you still had the car?
I sold a v code 70 Cuda shell 17 years ago $5,500 bought it for $200 in 1977 for the 4spd trans
My favorite Mopar Muscle car is the 1970 Dodge Challenger HEMI R/T! with a Plum Crazy paint job. The white one from Vanishing point is also very cool! and last on the list is of course The triple black 440-6 barrel 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda! This car was used in the movie Phantasm and believe it was restored on the show!
It's like if Michael Scott ran a shop
Keep up the trivia, love it.. keep up the good work,, one day I will be able to send a card to Mark for resto, or Kindig it design 👀 jk i’m really not too sure yet but I love you guys you’re awesome 🚬😎 💨💨
add a check for $200,000 to start the build
@@user-bo4ki2zq2m and expect that starting date to be 2026, unless some minor celebrity drops by and boots you out of the line.
@@davedammitt7691 good luck and the engine might and probably the original engine came in the car, they cannot always be perfect
Beautiful ride's 🔥 Mopar 🔥 American muscle.
I'm a slipknot fan and graveyard cars fan....yes!!!
😢FOLLOW UP REACTION ABOUT THE FAKE H.P. 440 MOTOR, PLEASE!!!
I is amazing the amount of people that cannot see past what they call the quality of the video. They are to focused on that instead of the video.
Awesome! Stay heavy! :-)
I have a fresh 70 440-6 complete with 4 speed and e body dana all from the same care going up for sale . carbs were all done , intake is beautiful . it came out of a 71 clone i bought that im doing a new hemi and 6 speed but the drivetrain is from a 70 challenger 440-6 . i would like to see this drivetrain go to good use . everything has less than 600 miles on it since being built and comes with the k member suspension all of it
It would be cool to have updates on the roller cars you did...wonder how the customers are doing finishing their cars?
I love that the animated shorts are take offs of the amazing movie "Murder by Death."
What the industry needs is a central database where people can go register their parts with serial numbers, so that people who are looking for those serial numbers have a good chance of finding them. Say you've got a few old V8s in storage, list the serial numbers, maybe somebody NEEDS that serial number engine to complete a restoration.
Why this video all messed up like a bad tv signal 🤷🏻♂️
I got a headache now.
80% of this video (tv show) is "fluff filler." You either love it, or you hate it.
Video as messed up as your attempt to compose a sentence in English. 😂😂😂😂
Well then you can go to OCC customs and see the best videos ever laugh out loud this man is top-notch at his game just like all the builders it's easy Define fault isn't it
I had to stop watching 'cause of that.
Rrrrrrr@@jjann54321
My first three cars were all Mopars. 70 Dodge Dart Swinger w/340 magnum (orange engine), 1970 Dodge Challenger w/383 magnum (orange) and lastly a 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner w/440 magnum (orange). I also, since I had an inquisitive mind, wanted to know as much as could about each of my cars. The first two, I was still in HS. I made friends with local mechanics and helped them out as a gofer/intern and the first thing they taught me was magnum engines are orange and the blue painted engines were not. I love late 60’s and early 70’s Mopars. Wish I still had one. Was hit by a drunk driver while home on leave in early 90’s and I received a substantial settlement. Instead of buying a MOPAR like I had, I bought a Corvette and became obsessed with them. Even going so far as to having mine built and with the option to go to Bowling Green to pick it up from the factory. Drove all the way back to Seattle in my new Z06.
I learned something new every time I see the show
@graveyardcarz Please stop with all the glitchy video effects. Love the show, but that's just distracting and takes away from the quality of the video.
WOW!!! very good show.
I don't care if Jim isn't in this episode. That owner is funny!
Love watching these but I would like to mention. The video editing with the special effects and transitions between clips is a bit too much for people like me who suffer from sensitive eyes. It would be much more enjoyable without all of that extra colors and pixels and flashes. Some may not even notice it, but those whom have eye problems can probably see where I'm coming from. Thanks
that is one good reason to get a hobby and stop trying watch that stupid show with goof ball antics like the fat guy painter spraying melisa with spray can paint on the front of her T-Shirt. That dumass clown needs fired off the job site.
That would not have been hard to check. One flashlight, five minutes.
I wish it wasn't about the money.....I would have my car there in a second, he is the best. Some things just are not possible for a working class man with a family.
MARK YOU’RE ONE SMART COOKIE HOMBRE! HILARIOUS,AND HAVE A BIG HEART.THIS LAND NEEDS MORE MEN LIKE YOU MARK.I’M A CHEVY MAN,BUT BACK IN THE DAY I HAD CHARGERS,DAD HAD A NEW ‘69 BLUE CORONET 440 AUTO.THOSE WERE THE DAYS!…69-71 💪🚀🫡🤝😁
Mark - to be honest- I watched a lot of your episodes but I stopped watching because of all of the personnel issues, negativity and personality conflicts. I have to say that I really am enjoying the positive comments about your team and learning about my favorite cars. Thank you - I learn something about Mopar every time I watch. My favorite car that I have ever owned is a ‘70 Charger green over green with a 383 mag 4 speed. My first “practice wife “ once said that I love my Charger more than I love her. I replied “and your point is what???”
Nice shop manager 😊
one of the most important things you can ever have, is trust. Give me a guy who is worth his salt, that I know I can trust, and my day going forward is much easier!
I love Slipknot one of the best bands around today
i used to watch this on one of the cable channels. Is it no longer on cable?
Love the cars! You guys do amazing work!! Do you guys ever have tours of the shop? I'm located in Southern Oregon
I went there one, and they said the shop was closed in preparations for SEMA. But the gift shop was open
its just a building and some dangerous iron lifts with a steel beam setting on top very dangerous place to be working.
they had one car fall off the small 50 dollar stands nearly killed two employee's they are not very smart at that shop.
the cars are beautiful and the work is amazing, here in brasil we have like 5 Challengers and some chargers i know just 2 cudas here our dodges of the 70s are all variants of the dart, like our charger rt is a dart with different front, the parts of the rear windshield and higher compression
Yall had a cool chevy nova version I think
@@shaunramsey22 yeah the chevrolet opala its a mixture of the nova and the european opel reckord with the chevy 250 6 cylinder, some people today swap it with the chevy 350 v8 but its very expensive to do the swap because the engine its the price of the car
The worst thing is when people start trying to cause drama where there is none! Why would you be afraid to call the owner and tell him about the engine, And how could you possibly take any type of legal action against you? You did not hunt the car down for him nor did you inspect the car to determine if it was in all numbers matching vehicle, He found the car and purchased it without verifying if it was legit or not so there is no one to blame other than himself!
He was talking about Jim taking legal action against the person he bought it from. Not the shop.
well it is a fact that Mark Marmon is not at the factory the day the engine was installed, that might be the original engine for the car no matter what numbers he thinks should be on that engine.
these numbers are not important at all, these cars are mostly total rust bucket and lucky to get new fenders and who cares as long as they put a powerful motor under the hood.
of course if they new how to build a performance engine, which they don't have a clue on real engine performance.
I can't take Mark's constant need to dominate the camera, acting condescending, just do the show without the fake drama.
Damn it guys! I wanted to hear the call.
It's a good episode I love Mopars.
Marc you never talk about the flower power vinyl tops ❓❓❓❓❓
slipknot was not informed in the video- no footage of the conversation
Yes he did he said Jim root
I'd love to see you do some Australian Chryslers \Valliants,
you should open up a repair shop in Australia you could be rich in no time fixing those 4 wheel drive jeep looking rides..
I love this channel
"Allows you to be you"! I don't have the money to be somebody else!
Wait, what? I didn't see you inform him of the fraud engine! :(
This guy thinks he's all that and a bag of chips. I watched for a season or 2 and realized my spare time watching him left me feeling like I ate junk food and didn't feel that I gained anything other than an abundance of calories eating junk foods.
I like the old maniacs. Get them back too. You can afford it. Your on the television. Movie stars always make a lot-o-money.
A thing I liked about Mopar stuff is the fact that all the screws are visible for you to tighten or remove. No bullshit. You can't find that on a GM. Not sure about Fords.
One thing about Fords was that (and I'm talking about taking Crown Victoria cabs all over Manhattan) was that the ride was top-notch. Again, no bullshit.
Where's the part where Jim Root "is not happy"?
I always thought the Charger Daytona was based off the Charger "500", not the RT.
They all have the same engine options, but the 500 has the sloped rear window like the Daytona, instead of the tunnel style of the RT.
It also had a shorter trunk lid. The longer trunk on the RT would have hit the wing.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Idk who would want to wear a bunch of weird makeup and play drums for a band called Dog Knot, but at least he’s got good taste in cars.
You guys know of the AUSTRALIAN Chrysler Chargers etc? A little bit fatter and wider, they were 70% of the car line production here in Adelaide, South Australia..
Stop with the pixelated screen stuff.
I love this show 'what could be better than a show devoted to Cuda's' Challenger's' etc . BUT 'I want to know once and for all 'are there going to be NEW episodes ? 'what is happening ? We cant keep watching the old one's forever (although I probably will) . If there has been any update on the situation 'I've missed it. I dont really expect any answer to this.
they do have a lot of old remake rewind shows that were so bad they missed the trash can and the problem is here at stupid motor car restore is goof ball mark marmon and the crew over charging everyone that wants a car back to life.
The new shows for 2023 are being shown now on Motor Trend. They won’t be available on CZcams until after the season ends.
@@justpray365 Thanks for that.
Can't stop watching this show luv it
get a life, this mark marmon show is pethic and boring as hell
boring same oh same oh boring poor un edited and non informative and boring
Allysa needs to get a barcode scanner. That would be a huge timesaver for her instead of having to manually write down on a notepad what she needs to order.
She has nothing better to do
These guys are good
Just imagine if Mopar had used a full frame.
You can't judge Slipknot by one song as not everything they have is yelling and screaming!! Should have put him on the song Snuff !!
The 'interference' in the video, random flashes of colors and the static in the audio are very annoying, please reduce the frequency of it. Otherwise I really enjoy your videos.
Still waiting on a follow up on this episode
43 minute video that is about 33 minutes of nothing to do with the video title and they don't actually "inform" anyone of anything.
I would never own a Chrysler nowadays......back then he'll yeah any day!
HEY BROTHER, I Would ALSO Like To SEE A Follow Up Of How Mr. Root Reacted When You Told Him About The Motor Being A Forged Fake, Non Numbers Matching High Performance 440!!!
Darren really made good tv mark you should see if he would come back for a build or season
I wonder about an 8 barrel carb setup. Not enough room?
Why did they stop building cool cars in the '80's? Two words. Federal regulation.
high fuel prices and insurance rates were high, the customers wanted the cars, the mfg big wigs got scared and cowed down and started building junk, what is bad for sure is the little cars and little motors burned more fuel and were not dependable at all, they would ride like the little red wagon i had as a kid.
We've seen kind of a rebirth of the late 60s and early 70s golden age of muscle cars over the past decade or so, with the variety of unique challengers and chargers of today, as well as the various levels of power offered. The competition between the modern Camaros and Mustangs and Mopars is reminiscent of the late 60s and 70s too. But now we are having EVs and hybrids forced upon us and it's truly sad. Like Allysa said, cars used to be unique and interesting. Now we're seeing the same trend she's referring to, with today's auto industry now killing so many cars that people love so much and it seems just like she said, we'll all be driving cars that are like rental cars. Cookie cutter. It's a shame.
Yep….the Indians bought Chrysler and ran it into the ground just as they were really becoming great again. 20 years of rebuilding flushed down the toilet…..now Dodge makes one car, an electric POS named after an ugly AMC model from the 70’s that Stellantis happened to own the trademark to thanks to a deal done back in the 80’s when Chrysler bought out AMC/Jeep.
Look for trouble hard enough and you're sure to find it. That's why if you buy a nice looking, nice condition, complete, finished car there's no need to be pulling it apart instead of enjoying it. Get things verified prior to purchase if that's what's important to you. If somebody wants to parachute in and buy it as is before you can complete your due diligence, so be it. Let them have it and get yourself a different one.
I agree but there's a limit to due diligence. It's not like you can go buy a car and before you make the purchase you pull the engine and or start removing paint to prove/disprove well hidden details. If the customer purchased a "numbers matching, restored car" and wanted to pay another garage to have a "show quality, numbers matching, factory restored" car than none of this could have been avoided within reason. If I had to guess, the customer probably purchased this from a car auction where the authenticity was "verified" before being sold. Which is probably why Mark mentioned the customer potentially (although not likely) taking legal action.
Gut's you guys are great and so are most of your videos. This would have been a great vid if it wasn't for that annoying flickering screen affect
About time you start using a door dolly.
Why the clickbait title? You don't have to trick people into watching.
Dads dont recycle stuff we curate.
The bad video glitch effects made this unwatchable. I couldn’t finish it.
This guy was identifying engine codes since he was a little kid, so he says. What BS!
The title of this video is a much bigger forgery than that engine. You lied to us.
producer shouldve been nice and played him Snuff
Come on Mark....it's ALL about the MONEY. You ain't foolin nobody.
*ALYSSA* *IS WHY I WATCH IM NOT GOING TO LIE* *CATER*
*ITS ALWAYS BEEN GIRLS & CARS* *CATER*
Daughter is 🔥
The first two series of numbers from my seat did not match. Letter first then year number. Then it was year number, then letter. Those two were reversed.
That’s the way they did it.
Where's the rest??
8 commercials in 5 minutes, to watch an old episode.
The daughter should know better. Cars stopped being made good because of the same reason all things are jacked up now: centralized federal control of everything. It was called CAFE standards.
but we never heard the call......
I like when they take cars apart & put back together but I don't like when Marks
Have you ever restored a hemi pacer
Lol, that would be funny.
More dusters. More dusters
My first car.
what kind of music does Cousin Doug listen to
All the numbers were punched in to the same depth. If they had scratched off a number, it would have to be filed down flat to that depth, leaving that number .1 mm lower than the others. You can't just erase it level. There were No signs of filing down or sanding ...?!
