  • Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between. Elden Ring takes place in the Lands Between, a fictional realm over which several demigods rule. It was previously ruled over by the immortal Queen Marika, who acted as keeper of the Elden Ring, a powerful force that manifested itself as the physical concept of order.
When Marika shattered the Elden Ring and disappeared, her demigod children began fighting over pieces of the Ring in an event called The Shattering. Each demigod has a shard of the Ring called a Great Rune, which corrupts them with power. In the game, the player character is a Tarnished, one of a group of exiles from the Lands Between who are summoned back after the Shattering. The player must traverse the realm to repair the Elden Ring and become the Elden Lord.

54:52 What happens is exactly what happened to you after your first warp - you fall off the edge and die anyway :D

45:48 - welp. That's it, guys. He's reached the limit. We lost him. Contemplates the wrongness and whole existence of the tarnished, while the very fabric of civilizations of the past unfolds before his eyes 😂

36:27 the fact that corpse is his Maiden's dead body doesn't even phase Mr. Odyssey 😢 the very one who sent him to this quest.

Tbh, didn't realize that was her, I thought it was whoever killed her. Though I guess that's true, because maybe the implication is she killed herself?

@@GalacticOdyssey I'm not sure you've uncovered that part of the implication yet! But the rune states it was carved into the back of Ranni, and if you look closely it's carved into the corpse's back. I guess it wouldn't really be a spoiler to say that the Ranni you came to know is actually a doll, pretty sure she said so herself! :)

6:28 blood and poison add a very small amount of arcane scaling to your weapon as well as a base amount of the relevant status buildup. The Arcane scaling is definitely not the point of bleed affinity though. Bleed and poison infused weapons retain the majority of whatever physical scaling they had before, so if it was a dex weapon before you can put bleed on it and it will still get great damage, but also do a bunch of bleed. Arcane only minorly affects the physical damage and amount of bleed but its really not important. Occult infusion is the inverse, high arcane scaling to damage at the expense of the physical scaling. The bleed added by the whetblade also stacks with natural bleed on your weapon (for example the Uchi has base 45 bleed or somewhere around there, so it would be higher than that). Its actually quite good on non-arcane builds. Try putting it on your Uchi and see how it does. You can always change it later.
If I can offer a little piece of feedback, I am enjoying watching your playthrough but it can be a bit frustrating when you pick up something new and completely write it off without trying it. Its ok to use stuff just to get a feel for what it does. Limgrave enemies are great punching bags for figuring out if you like a new weapon or spell. Theres tons of ways to boost your stats up to meet requirements such as godricks great rune. Just wanted to point that out, sorry if its unwanted. Ill still tune in, I just really want tou to see what the game has to offer and not pigeonhole yourself into missing good content. Pretty soon here youre going to have enough stats to get your HP, endurance, dex, and mind where you want them and still have points left over so it is useful to have an idea like "hey I enjoy bleed/frostbite/faith stuff maybe Ill invest a little in the relevant stat there too"

I appreciate the feedback! It's definitely important to try new abilities (which is why I added the Flame/Vigor incantations), but I agree that experimentation is part of the fun. I could probably Unsheathe my way through the rest of the game, but where's the fun in that? Although, I reserve the right to go back to it if I get stuck, haha

@@GalacticOdysseydefinitely always good to have a back pocket nuke for annoying bosses, haha. Thanks for taking the feedback well, I hope it only enriches the game for you. Always keep playing the way you wanna play because you gotta have fun with it

06:05 khm. Oh Mimic ashes.... considering they literally duplicate the player's character, some people straight up consider it cheating 😂😂😂 the Mimic ash is in fact so powerful, it can solo the whole game 😅
