Went to my first match at Old Trafford in 1957! I can honestly say this was the first time I sat down to watch a Utd. vs Liverpool game with zero butterflies or nervousness. There was absolutely NOTHING riding on this match for us , win, lose, draw it was not going to make a difference to our season. It was obvious that , subconsciously , the players knew that too. Prem league title is gone, Top four is locked in after Spurs and Newcastle lost , we've won the league cup, and are still in two other cups. 2-0 down it became a case of don't get hurt, don't get a red card and save our legs for Real Bettis on Thursday night. Still a disgraceful display! Put it behind us and move on.
