After Goodra community day gave Goodra Thunder Punch for Skarmory coverage, the double dragon strategy works even better in Pokemon GO Battle League - Hry
idk but fire seems like a natural fit for double dragons. they resist everything that beats dragons and melts steel and ice. with my limited options i use typhlosion or skeledirge, but salazzle coud be even better for that role with its fire/poison.
Came here to say this. We need a strategy for dealing with mudbois.
Skeledirge is the best of the three when it comes to who should lead for two dragons.. unfortunately it leaves you weak to Bastiodon and Carbinks so one of your dragons has to be a steel breaker for a fire type to be your lead.
@@thalasyus i'd say the issue isn't so much with the mudbois themselves, but that their only true counter in grass has a really rough time in the meta. covering against flyiers is a huge pain, especially somehow covering against both gligar and skarmory in one pokemon leaves you with not much more than lanturn. i personally feel like the flyer issue is at the root of the current meta.
Goodra with aqua does pretty even / slightly positive against the mudboys. And if you still run the grass move or have it thats even better
I just think goodra with aqua and thunder punch is too good ngl. I been using him in both leagues and i cant overstate how comfortable most match ups feel

I’ve used skarm lead with the team before and hit legend that way a couple seasons ago. I run FC instead of BB with this team because you can actually win the 0s vs Basti lead with good timing using FC.
How do you deal with the toxic Bastiodon, Wigglytuff, S. Vic?
@@thylzos so you FC Basti to start (Basti will be right at 50% after the FC+ all the steel wings) and then tank the flame thrower. As soon as you tank the flame thrower, go into guzz to start getting ahead on energy and to bait out wiggly. Crunch wiggles to try for a debuf (either way debuf or not doesn’t make a difference). Wiggles gets very little farm bc charms shreds guzz. Then you bring skarm back in and finish off wiggles and FC Basti again when it comes back in. They’ll shield. Now bring in goodra to finish off Basti with a shield adv and the plant has no chance to beat goodra + what’s left of skarm
You MUST use good timing for the strat to work because there is very little margin for error vs this matchup

Cresselia went from #1 spot to #25 oon PvPoke when they changed the moveset from Future Sight to Moonblast, even though Future Sight has better win/loss ratio and better average score than Moonblast against the meta, what's the reason for changing the moveset then?

Last season I hit both Expert and then Legend for the first time, as it is my first year in Pokemon Go PvP. This season, although it started me at a lower rank than you, yesterday I approached just 30 points under Leaderboards with a rating of 2630. I'm excited for ML Premier because it's the first time I'll have 3 fully maxed pokemon to participate, and I'm looking forward to submitting battles.
Omg the algorithm. The instant i put a froslass to deal with all the gligar i been seeing guess what ? No gligar to be found. Instead lets get fire constantly in the back line. Now i put a mudboy because duhhh. And ill probly just get venusaur counters.

I've used a similar team with empoleon up front to punish ice or fairy that comes into my goodra safe swap. I like it much better than skarmory because hydro cannon hits most things hard, but you still have drill peck against a grass if it comes back into empoleon.
Thank you for showing us your thought process. I shuffle leads leads the same way.... albeit without your skills and patience. Also, with way more rage quitting.

The Shadow Pidgeot typically doesn't run Feather Dance, they're just too fragile to utilize it well enough.
Not to mention it didn't throw enough wing attacks to reach a feather dance.
i use this team with deoxys on lead. I got legend last season. you can also swap goodra for shadow drat
I hit legend last year with a Goodra on the swap, it's so safe if you avoid the charmers. I love the gooey boi
i mean, one dont has to be a top10 leaderboard pro to be a really good teacher. and since this is supposed to be a gbl learing channel I HOPE you call us out if we mess up the timing :D
I like running nidoqueen with goodra. Ice is still a pain tho
would skeledirge fit as a good cover for steel and ice as well as some fighting coverage, aside weakness to basti

what about registeel and u replace guzzlord with hakamo o or dragonair so u dont have double fighting weakness
So I've been running double dragon backline all this season up to about 2600 while trying to think on a Lanturn replacement but the answer is still just Lanturn with water gun. Yeah it'll feel bad when you're used to pre nerf spark but it still works well.
I’m running double flier with a WG Lanturn and gained like 130 elo right out the gate

What about clodsire lead? Deals with fairy and steel plus a whole bunch of other stuff too. Tanky enough that it generally doesn’t have horrible matchups. Worst case scenario is probably a mudboy lead
I was thinking the toxi but with sludge bomb instead of shadow ball to deal with charmers

That’s why GBL the meta is control by co tent creators! If you see a content creator showing a team that the guy did well do a team to take down that team bc that team will be everywhere for at least 24-48 hrs! Lol

No ive forgotten frustration on it and just want to 2nd move for pvp. But even though i have the candies and the dust it wont do it. Ive tried several hundred times lol

I had the same glitch it was saying 75 candy and 75k stardust for the 2nd move, but I clicked it and it used 90 candies and 90k stardust like it should’ve
