This clip is taken from an episode of The Mike Douglas Show recorded on May 9th, 1968 and aired on May 15th during The Beach Boys' cancelled Maharishi Tour (about a month after the "Friends"/"Little Bird" single was released). It could be a similar show they were on at this time, but I'm 97% sure this is Mike Douglas and I'm even more certain this is from May 1968 during the failed Maharishi Tour. They also reportedly performed "Little Bird" during this same broadcast, but I've not seen this surface.
Wow! Where are you finding these gems? Long time BBs and BW fan and I just discovered channel. A lot of good archival footage and this one of them. Thanks for putting this up.
are we sure this isn't from the Johnny Carson show - same show the John and Paul were on .....most of Carson's old shows are lost..but little bits pop up
hey i found them i think! do you still know if you have the original files (assuming you're willing to share!) i'd love to see it with the intended audio haha. the good timin' music video especially! that's really hard to find ^^
i thiiiiiiiink the source (outside of the original 60s broadcast idk what the nature of that is) is from some kind of AMC show (AMpop?) which broadcast these little clip scraps things that weren't included in the EH documentary. or i could be making this up my knowledge of 60s and 70s things is fuzzy and embarrasingly bad - someone else might give you a better answer haha
Finally, a reliable news source!

0:15-0:26 I could repeat this forever.
I've only seen this in black and white before. I have no idea what show this was but it was definitely in 1968.
i feel like i've read somewhere (smileysmile?) that this was some bizarre maharishi press conference thing but i really don't know...
had to have been around the time Friends was released, guessing summer 1968
Holy good God this is gorgeous. What an absolute honor it must have been to be there.
Wow they sound so good
Only the Beach Boys were able to make a lot of noise out of pleasure like this. Hats off...
I could watch this on a loop. Love the harmonies and I've never seen this before!
