God Bless Carl Wilson.
What an awesome song, from an awesome group. Carl Wilson has the voice of an angel.
I totally agree with you..Carl and his brother Dennis are so much missed..❤
Voice of an angel Carl Wilson and beach boys forever I grew up with them adore them
Carl's voice is wonderful ♥️
Carl starts taking over....and took them as a live band to another level
When I'm playing guitar and singing I can't decide if I'm trying to emulate Carl or Brian more sometimes 😂
Bruce's bass playing on Bluebirds is out of this world, never took time to notice before.
Agreed! A super cool part
Check out ''Pipeline'' by Bruce Johnston on CZcams, a funky instrumental with a awesome bassline!
For the miming? Yes, he was good at miming, the bass player on the original 1967 basic track was Larry Knechtel
Agreed! Very underrated bassist. 😎
@DeakyBassist Ok. Thanks for the info. 😊
Dennis was always such a cut up, full of antics & so cute. But my fav was Brian, his vocals. I wouldn't even listen to The Beatles when played on radio out of crazy teen years loyalty to the Beach Boys.
The Late Great Carl Wilson. Just a wonderful voice.
Carl was so great and that voice...I was always n luv with him...still am...
God bless Carl Wilson pure darling beautiful voice
I get chills Every time I hear him sing this song. Over 50 years one of my top 5 songs.
I wish Dennis could have stayed this healthy ...
I was Brian was there and Mike wasn’t
It’s important to look out for each other in this world. Addiction is real and unfortunately we lost Dennis as a result
It's the same year he met Charles Manson and it was the beginning of his downfall, sadly
i can hear music may be the best beach boys song ive ever heard
Mike Love always looked like he was in his own world..lol.
He often looks as though he belongs in a different band.
Since I remember HE was so PERFECT to me .....red one 🧡
Carls voice is what makes The Beach Boys sound distinctive ! Singing harmony or lead! Gone too young! 🏖🌊
And Brian knew it too, and that’s why he sang lead vocals on God Only Knows and Good Vibrations. Brian knew every angle to get the best sound from everything.
I luv this more than I can say! Dennis, Carl +Al at their peak. Dennis +Carl will always be missed!❤
Long live the memories of Dennis & Carl Wilson. xoxo The Clarences
You can see here why Carl became the leader of the Beach Boys. So talented and a terrific voice. RIP Carl and Dennis
Wonderful!! 1960s BB my fave era!!
Mine too. Saw them in concert twice. Loved every 2nd, even though Brian no longer toured with them. Filling in was either Bruce or Terry from a group by that name.
I've been in luv with carl for many years...what a great voice and screen presence...
I love Carl Wilson ❤️
The beach boys are like they have magic. All their music blows me away
I love this era through Holland.
I want to live in the timeline where “Endless Summer” never came out and they climbed back on top through artistic merits instead of becoming a nostalgia act.
They started the 70s so well, too. Sunflower was beautiful. Surf's Up, Carl and the Passions, and Holland saw them take on a cool contemporary sound I wish they kept.
WELL SAID! Totally Agreed!
I want to live in a timelime where Brian completes Smile and releases it and where Dennis doesmt get caught up with Charles Manson and his cult.
Danke super tolle Musik ich liebe sie muss da immer an meinen Schatz denken der Leiter nicht mehr bei mir ist. Was fürs Herz ❤️ vielen Dank. Schonen Sonntag. LG A.K.
I Love and Adore Carl Wilson
Those were two perfect music videos done before there were official music videos! I was slightly surprised to not see Dennis in the "Bluebirds Over the Mountain" video. I was also amused to notice that Mike Love was doing the same dance that Cass Elliot did when singing with the Mamas and the Papas.
I noticed too! Still awesome. 👍
Al really knocked Bruce for a loop at 3:14! 😂
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Poor Bruce. 😢 😮
First concert I ever saw was The Beach Boys.
Same! Saw them in '76 and was blown away. 👍
Carl + Denis RIP Legends @}}>------->-----------------
The Beach Boys were just on a roll from 1963 to late 1973 or early 1974. Great stuff
Carl = my favorite Beach Boy
Carl Wilson was born to sing. He and his boys are the thread that runs through my twens and 20's xXx
1:56 Carl 😍😍😍😍😍
Brilliant songs and videos, thanks for posting!
This video is hilarious, the beginning tells you so much about their personalities.
Haven’t seen these before. Thank you.
Amen😇 I love you, Carl❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent video quality. In all my decades as a fan, I had never seen the I Can Hear Music promo video. A gem!
02:50 Ritchie Valens / Blue Over The Mountain
Brilliant
why wasn't dennis in the second video?
Trippin balls
bigly
They seem far too coherent and stable to be tripping (I dunno what the "balls" part is about....)
A little pot or alcohol perhaps but certainly not hallucinogens.
:-)
@@NOWtheband lol buzzkill
@@oltorf520 - Lol Buzzkill sounds like rapper name. I like it!
;-)
At that point only Dennis, Carl and Brian were doing hallucinogens.
CW bird flip at :47
Omg when I saw this comment I thought it would be Denny. But then I rewatched properly and it was Carl 😭 Did not expect that from him lol
@@byebyelove2719 Carl had a feisty side, kept well controlled.
@@karmafrog1 well he's a Wilson after all 😌 love him and his brothers so much
@@byebyelove2719 have u ever read the story about carl telling mr. t to “shut the fugk up” bc he wouldnt stop talking? i think about this at least once a day
@@sunnydownsnuff oh shit 😳 I need to read more about him, been too focused on his brothers recently lol. Thanks for telling me this
Mike love looks like much, much older than the other beach boys.
With this video I can see how red was his hair and beard....I LOVE LOVE HIM ❤
3.14 ouch
I love Carl
Great song. My favourite BB song. Unfortunately by then they were on their last gasp.
in the Bluebirds over the Mountain video, Al looks like a 60s rock & roll serial killer...there's just something Manson pounded into all of this.
I love The Beach Boys since age 8 in 1964 ! I love seeing John Stamos from Fuller House preform with The Beach Boys ! Love alot of the videos you put out !
Where was Dennis during the Bluebirds promo?
Don’t know but this is not a promo film
Where's Dennis?
At 00:25 Mike Love looks like a scaredy cat here.
I wonder exactly where the I Can Hear Music video was filmed.
They look smashed !!
I thought the same thing!
Hilarious. pre-music television. The beach boys running around inside an office park-- as if someone just happened to have a camera and decided impromptu to make this video in five minutes lol
Incorrect! The Beach Boys released this in 1969, not 1968
love the beach boys but they should have got rid of mike love
did Carl like candy bars and Fritos like Brian did?
Mike is being his weird and resentful self because he is not singing lead.
Drug induced goodness
An awful song, an embarassing video. Love the Beach Boys, hated this.
Well, ok then......
Which one?
@@jonnybirchyboy1560 The first one. I couldn't watch the rest, they might be great!
@@ronrice1931 fair enough. I don’t think they’re “awful,” they’re still highly listenable at worst, but they’re not better than the original versions.
@@ronrice1931 That's not a popular opinion among Beach Boys fans. "I Can Hear Music" is generally thought of as a great song.
Where's Brian?
At that point, probably at home or round a friends house.
Where's Dennis in the second clip ?
@@stuarttoomer7508 On location with James Taylor in Two Lane Blacktop?
Brian wasn't touring or performing with the band at that time.
