Im spoiled already, as I wont even fly into default airports. Ive purchased, to date, 143 airports. Mainly International airports as I fly airliners most of the time, but also have a lot of smaller airports in the Colorado, Arizona, Nevada area,
Nice ORBX
Orbx is amazing. I had a ton of stuff installed on FSX that made it look almost like MSFS20. Truly a groundbreaking software add on company. Combined with the fact that they usually made frame rates better is truly remarkable.
I've been using scenery and complete regions (I have almost all of them) from ORBX for FSX and P3D and, although they look much better and more realistic, comparing the visual quality with what MSFS offers is absurd and almost an insult to intelligence.

Just want to ask if you know if all the add ons from msfs 2020 are still buyable in msfs 2024 or if the developers have to do it all over again
If you look at the FAQ that Microsoft has been posting on its official forum about MSFS 2024, you will read that it says (I copy and paste from the original post):
"With very few exceptions, virtually all add-ons that work in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) today will function in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Add-ons that were purchased from the in-simulator Marketplace will not need to be re-purchased in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024".
While I understand that bespoke airports are going to be better than stock airports, is a SINGLE airport going to be worth $24? I mean 95% of your time in MSFS in flying, is the cost/benefit ratio there?
I saw stuttering on the Orbx side but not on default side. But i prefer the Orbx scenery since it looks much better
Orbx creates greater detail but is it really worth it?? I remember playing FSX as a kid and spyware scenery was so worth it but added up to thousands of dollars spent over the years. Having a platform that provides enough detail on its own is insane.
I wonder if Orbyx will start giving away airports free with the new MS WorldHub?
I love the way Orbx looks, but it causes stutters which takes emersion away. I just uninstalled all city volumes 1, 2 and 3 and all stutters went away. I wish they would take time to figure out performance issues . I do have a powerful computer with 13th gen CPU and a 4070ti . I have thousands of $$$ of Orbx scenery used with P3d that works well but for what ever reason I'm having issues with MSFS. Not major stutters but they ruin emersion for me. I have not spent a lot of time trying to figure it out eventually I will.

I wished i could get my sim to run smooth as yours. I have a ryzen 9 5900x with a rtx 3080 and i get so many stutters i e done everything and nothing helps
Had the same problem.try to delete the Nvidia DXCache in the user/appData/Nvidia folder. This helped
Somehow i got airnott adicted to australia. (thx orbx)
In fs2020 no way i will pay a ORBX addon.
if you are these kind of texture video's .. please do them in 4K! This is not showing any good on a 4K monitor

Let's see Orbx design the simulator from scratch. No? Looks like a great job, but the heavy lifting wasn't done by them.
I only fly in the UK. Australia holds no interest for me.
They do more than just Australia 🙂 This was more just to give an idea of the difference between paid vs default
