      Hehe, dělám u filmu a jednou jsme točili něco s jednim japonským režisérem. :D

    wow, when Satoshi-san was reading the flavour for Brumík (the bear snack) it sounded almost perfectly Czech. ;) And you were really quick at recognizing it was an apricot. Most people tasting Czech sweets usually cannot guess it. Apricot jam is the most common one here, we usually make homemade one often too. :)
    The last chocolatte is a collaboration of JOJO, who make really good jelly sweets (even gummy bears) and the Orion chocolate. :)

    9:06 Kočíčí Jazýčky - In english it means cat tongue, but with diminutive.
    12:30 You have to taste them when they are fresh made, what you guys have is just 1% of true taste. They are incredible when they are still warm.
    But funny thing, what you guys choose as your favourite, is considered as the big junk in Czech Republic.

    Satoshi got so happy when he heard the chocolate egg had a toy :D The mole was famous in Finland when I was a kid and it still is somewhat famous(but not as famous). The bears were so adorable! Ooooh Geisha is a finnish chocolate! It is indeed hazelnut filling, one that even I enjoy (I detest nutella :D). Shin-chan looks so drunk on sugar at the end :D

    @Thraakull Před 7 lety +6

    I am also one of the Czech guys surprised by how you have pronounced most of names with pretty much accurate accent.
    But what surprises me even more is that you guys have actually liked some of the candies - the Tesco bar for instance, those some of us consider to be absolute shit, poor quality.
    What I consider to be delicate is Lazenske Oplatky which you did try to - but if you ever get your hands on Czech candies again, then i recommend Lazenske Trojhranky ( same brand, pretty much same candy... BUT...) ... and the BUT continues like this: you were surprised by the size of Kávenky - these will surprise you even more as they are filled (if not OVER-filled) with cream, they are huge and TASSSTYYY ;)
    I bet that you would also love Mila, Princezky, ... anything made by Sedita, Orion, Bohemia...
    (everything in this comment is purely my own opinion)
    So yeah, great video, suprising that you have even liked Czech candies (also you have said that they are not even that much sweet, weird because some are waaayyy tooo much sweer :D).

    Hi guys! It's not paper, here in italy we call it "ostia" it's a sort of wafer made with water and flour (half wheat and half almond), the same that it used on the church :D in italy we use it to cover sticky sweets like that, so you don't dirty your hands ;)

    • @siyukiito3312
      @siyukiito3312 Před 7 lety +5

      @MCbramborovic Před 7 lety +10

      Here, in Czech Republic, we call it "eating paper" :D In our candy stores are also sold big pieces of it.
      It has a printing of foreign banknotes and it's really popular by czech children.

    • @stepanpapez
      @stepanpapez Před 7 lety +4

      Actually it's "edible paper". And it is also used for holy communion like in other countries, however we call it "hostie" (from lat. hostia - sacrifice)

    • @CzechKate
      @CzechKate Před 4 lety

  • @kerstinberg6217
    @kerstinberg6217 Před 7 lety +10

    Very nice video, thank you! Oh, childhood memories! But most of those sweets you've tried are inventions of the past 15 to 20 years maybe. I just recognized the kitty tongues, the round wafers (you can't get more classical than that), kofila and the paté. It's not pork, but poultry. Orion is the biggest Czech chocolate factory.
    11. Brumík = little bear, náplň means filling. It was chocolate and apricot as you guessed.
    12. oplatky Kolonáda: the old style was light in colour, nowadays they even have chocolaty ones and with all sorts of creamy fillings.
    13. poultry paté
    14. Geisha chocolate (made in Finland) and I personally never had it but if I could guess, I'd say Rum flavoured (many Czech things have this flavour) but I'm not sure. Correct me anyone, if you know.
    15 Kofila wafer, pretty standard and
    16.Jojo. Some kind of new chocolate.
    I miss the classic things in this list, like Miňonky (chocolate coated wafers), Fidorka (round wafer, also chocolate coated, Hořické trubičky (round cigar shaped wafers with filling), štramberské uši (ears from Štramberk, that might be too local though), studentská pečeť (chocolate with raisins and jelly bits), lentilky (like smarties), Pedro chewing gum and a couple more.....old style sweets 😉

    • @Filipsan

    The Chocolate with the Cat is called Cat/Kitten-Tongue because of the Shape. We have the same here in Germany aswell.
    Also the Czech Spa Wafers are verry popular here aswell, although there are some german brands that make similar aswell - the czech original is probably the best you can get.
    Oh and the Mole Cartoon Charakter (Krtek) created by Czech animator Zdeněk Miler was/is popular in over 80 countrys!
    If you haven't seen it yet you should definetly watch it :)

    You two crack me up! You know they say the one who smelled it dealt it. ;)
    (Also, the "cat treats" are in the same shape as langue du chat - cat's tongue - those buttery light cookies that are quite popular in Japan.)

    We have the bear cakes in the uk they are called Barney bears and my children love them as an after school treat. The "paper" you were eating is called sugar paper and from my childhood we ate it in in flying saucer shape with fizzy sherbet inside such a cool texture

    I love the little mole ❤❤❤ It often appears in a famous German show for children called "Die Sendung mit der Maus" ("The show with the Mouse") and it's popular here for about 46 years.
    Oh and the frog is a friend of the mole.

    The papery stuff on the fruit bar is a named oblate in German or is also called "Esspapier" which literally translates to eat(able) paper. It's just starch, a little bit of sugar and water baked in some kind of waffle maker.
