At first, most people would probably think of countries like China or India, because they are the most populous countries in the world. However, this couldn't be further from the truth. Instead, smaller countries like Vatican City and Monaco have some of the highest population densities in the entire world. Monaco has more than 19,000 people per square kilometer.

These micro nations have the highest population density because they are city states, and dominant urban regions tend to have population density of around 15k. (Population densities like 450 for India, 500 for South Korea seem large population densities because a normal country tends to be diverse in term lifestyle, inhabitation and topography, villages usually have very low population densities so they play a significant role in bringing down the overall population density.)
But if we look at the megacities of India, China, USA, Russia, Germany, UAE, Australia etc, they have population densities upto 30k.
