CT doesn't worry about a title for cars, i believe over 25 years of age. Last i remember, Maine would just take your check and send out plates. But a loophole for some of us....check into registering your vehicle as "farm machinery". and that's all i'm going to say about that secret :)

A fella knows this will cost money and take time to do proper. He needs to get himself some of them safety devices and perhaps a new belt. He is just going to need to spray some WD40 on the suspension, to bring it back into life. But where a fella needs to put it the effort are the spots that scanned poorly. Burnout car would be the most budget minded. Idk that I'd trust a rusty patched frame if it were to crash. And with all that suspension damage, it'd all need replacing. Burnout cars are pretty low speed. No cage needed(depending on the track) and no real upgrades besides about 400hp needed. I'd leave the whole outside as is. Maybe patch the rust Pretty cool story to buy and drive it 600 miles home. Its fit right in at any cleetus and cars.
... “ Jacking off the rear “ LOL 😆 That there scanning tool must be a really sensitive and highly Calibrated too, because that frame looked factree to me ! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Great explanation of how the "normal" valve train works. I normally think valves not seating well when I see compression readings like that. My 40 some years of working on engines tells me that doing a valve job normally causes the rings to lose their seal. On a tight budget, let it roll just like it is until it just runs so bad you can't stand it. As far as what to do with that car, sell it to a movie company so they can make it look good and then blow it up. That car is just too far gone.
You sir are correct. With an engine in this so so worn out condition doing just a valve job will cause them rings to really start bypassing. Why not just pull the engine and freshen up the whole thing. No biggie.
Absolutely believe that’s what he’ll do I imagine. Cleetus will absolutely love it also would love to see him and demo ranch do a colab at cleetus and cars

“Let’s try scanning again”
The first time my daughter saw your previous video on bringing this beast home, she was hooked! Now you can't keep her away from watching the channel, my thanks to and your family as we now enjoy watching your videos together and at times having a good laugh... Cheers from NZ🇳🇿 👍👍
When all returns to "normal" paint and all this has to go to the freedom factory
J. Harker83 Hell yea brother
100% this car needs to do a massive burnout at the freedom factory
'MERICA!!!!!
This definitely needs to happen
Need to get Texas Speed to ship a motor and let the freedom RIP!
She's too cool to destroy, a lot of guys would give their last beer for a lawn ornament this nostalgic.
@Dave Micolichek I wouldn't let that happen, would you?
@@highlysuggestible861 The biggest problem is that lack of title, I could fix'er up but what's the point if I can take her out on a nice Sunday drive?
I think you got the right idea.
Just park it in the weeds - and use it for target practice.
@Dave Micolichek If a title can be had for a derelict old model A then title can be had. Just gotta fork out the dough
What's a last beer?
(Cop): pulls you over asks why your driving the car on the road
(Derek): BECAUSE AMERICA
😄
OMG, this is one of the funniest I've seen! 12oz frame tester banging, you say SCANNING!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Then the dry erase board mount was just hilarious!! thank you for you content, best EVER.
Scanning, bang-bang-bang. I'm going to steal that and use it as my own.
“Professional frame checking tool” * Busts out a hammer *

Also used as a Delco starter adjustment tool
All by sound

yeah it hink i pissed myself on that one..
Scanning...
And I thoroughly enjoyed you putting the white board up.
Gotta bring her back to life as a street cruiser with the same paint scheme. Derek, you are without a doubt the most entertaining and informative gear head I've ever seen. Gives me all kinds of inspiration for my 66' Biscayne.
Please make a budget drag car out of it. Im in the process of building one and it would be mint to see what you would do.
I love the paint on this, don't ever repaint it!
Agreed lol that's a piece of history right there and I'd drive it as is body wise but I'd fix the rear quarter
@Iron *Fe* take a pill ya goof
" The frame has more holes in er than bonnie and clyde " 😂😂😂😂
"The frame's got more holes in her than Bonnie and Clyde..."
Jack up the ashtray and slide a new car under it, as we used to say back in high school.
oof size large
YOU DROVE HER 600 MILES HOME, YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING WITH HER, DRAGSTER!
Too many drag chevelle’s
Infamous Gamer yeah I think it should be a burnout car
Burnout car would be the most budget minded. Idk that I'd trust a rusty patched frame if it were to crash. And with all that suspension damage, it'd all need replacing. Burnout cars are pretty low speed. No cage needed(depending on the track) and no real upgrades besides about 400hp needed. I'd leave the whole outside as is. Maybe patch the rust Pretty cool story to buy and drive it 600 miles home. Its fit right in at any cleetus and cars.
“VAMONOS MI AMIGO CILINDRO TRES!” Hahaha made my whole day, man. Keep up the great work! 🙏🏾✊🏾
... “ Jacking off the rear “ LOL 😆
That there scanning tool must be a really sensitive and highly Calibrated too, because that frame looked factree to me ! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Loved the frame scanning tool.
Wow the front end was really messed up! And you drove it 600 miles!!!
Ram
You’re asking me for a suggestion? “I don’t know...”
Pound, pound, pound- "scanning.." lol
I love this channel. It's like Bob Ross and Red Green got busy in a Jiffy Lube bathroom.
Thats one good analogy on that combination.are you related to derek???
@@allensnook7760 No. Not related. Why do you ask?
Friday night chuckle, I’m in Scotland. I’m learning new terms, new names for tools, in fact a whole new language- great
'More holes than Bonnie & Clyde'; was my favorite teaching moment. 🍺
there's education round here
"Messier than Mariah Carey live." Classic!
That should be another t-shirt
Oh yeah dude, you’re getting GOOD at this content thing. 2020 you’ll hit a million subbies.
No biggie.
“ The frame has more holes than Bonnie and Clyde “ Classic!!
I was gonna mention all the weight reduction oughta get your drag strip times down in the 26's or so
This thing practically screams Cleetus and cars burnout rig. Just sayin.
Absolutely believe that’s what he’ll do I imagine. Cleetus will absolutely love it also would love to see him and demo ranch do a colab at cleetus and cars
Came here to say this exact thing
Nitrous will bring that old 350 right around on the burnout pad at the freedom factory
Was two seconds away from saying the same thing
On point! that car can take some wall taps, hopefully gets derek a ticket for the next freedom 500
I get home from work and I can't get the serious look off my face. Watch VGG for ten minutes and can't get the smile off my face. Love this guy! "Scanning"
HOW can Jessica live with Derek?! The tears from laughing so hard I couldn't bear!
