It's so funny to watch someone play AC when they're untainted by the villager hierarchy. I was screaming when he got Shino, and it's almost unbelievable that that's his least favorite! It's kinda wholesome honestly, definitely makes me reconsider my perspective on dreamy culture.
Yeah shino was one of my first villagers and I love her sm his reaction to her was surprising to say the least 😭😭
Dreamy culture is so dumb. People don't genuinely like villagers or give new villagers a try, they just do anything for the popular ones 😭
@@stannosaurus especially when they're are essentially just 8 villagers since they have the same 8 personalities, so really just say you only want the cutest, most boring ones. Although Shino is at least more unique than like 90% of the normals. Just dull little baby dolls.
My favourite villagers are Plucky and Antonio, they were my first and I love them, idk what their standing is with everyone else 😭😭

@@jeffreycauwels1974 o'hare was my first campsite villager that i couldn't not accept into my island and i rly didn't like him at first so i stranded him up on a hill with no inclines lmao. after a while i learned to love him and that area became a fancy little exclusive bamboo forest so it's fine

I remember when I made my first snowboy, he said something like "normally, you would only get diys for making the perfect version of me but, I want to celebrate this occasion of us first meeting" again, it's been 3 years since but I remember him saying something along the line of him not being perfect but giving me something as he was my first snowboy.
My first one was... I remember being so smug thinking "oh that was easy"... I've never made a perfect one since lol.
The level of enthusiasm Therm has for every creature pun, villager, watering flowers, etc is so adorably wholesome and chaotic, I'd expect nothing less
i'm only 18 minutes into this so far, but i'm obsessed with your commentary. there's such a perfect balance of childlike wonder at all these little critters and quality goofs mixed in between
he sounds so much like and has a similar tone to kurtis connor. like he's like a younger and more in-awe kurtis

Totally agree. It’s hard for me to play this game now because I’m so obsessed with having a “perfect” island which obviously doesn’t exist. It’s so refreshing to see someone play the game the way it was meant to be played.
Watching someone play ACNH( for the first time) over 3 years after it came out is so heartwarming and sweet. 💙

This is adorable. I'm an animal crossing veteran and watching someone discover animal crossing for the first time is so wholesome.
That's what is making this so much better than other game play watching; to see it all from the beginning, takes me back to my first AC game. So glad YT recommended!
If you're time traveling, I highly recommend the 6am hour. Even tho the stores are closed, something about that early morning sunrise & colors of the sky is so peaceful. Plus it's easier to terraform bc everyone is still sleeping. I'm not an early riser IRL but I can pretend to be in animal crossing lol

Watching new players is so nice. I have so many fond memories of setting up house plots and diving for creatures to make a profit 😭😭😭
i haven't finished watching yet so i'm not sure if this gets brought up but a tip: don't feel pressured to pick a theme and fully decorate your island! a lot of people seem to think that it's the point of the game but enjoy the game how you want to enjoy it! a lot of people get burnt out because of decoration/pressure to decorate
That definitely happened with me, and I felt SO relieved after restarting my island with a more casual mindset. I think the issue is that after a while the only thing to do IS decorate, so if you're not very good at it, it can make you feel pretty rough lol
I share my island with my sister and the way we want to decorate the island is very different, I like chaos and she likes tidy😹
exactly! I don't have a theme, I just do whatever I feel like wherever I want lol. Sticking to a theme would ruin the game for me tbh, I just wanna have fun
After years of playing my first island is still half forest, half buildings strewn about. I get nervous watching people struggle to run around the narrow paths of terraformed islands. I like my space.
I just make up a story for my island and then decorate however I decide works for my story.
Honestly I wasn't too sold on this series at first but now I'm emotionally attached to every polygon on Sconion
This is so enjoyable to watch, it’s so sweet. No judgement from dreamie culture, no preconceived notations, just pure vibes and pure enjoyment. Amazing.

Playing Ac honestly is so chaotic while being so calm at the same time, like the game literally barely has requirements, but we still are able to make it so chaotic…and I love that
I grew upward AC starting from Wild World so seeing someone discover all its glory for the first time is so fun
Seeing someone so excited to get a sea bass nowadays is absolutely precious to me

As a long time animal crossing fan, once I saw the first stream that Therm was playing it, I knew it would go on a roller coaster of chaos and wholesome.
"ah! it's golden hour" and the subsequent joy? i loved this moment! there are a lot of fun moments from this series of streams, i'm glad they're all together. this was a pleasure to watch

I'd do the same for Rosie, Lolly, Kiki, Katt, Felicity, and Bob (haha noticing a pattern here?? 😹😻 I LOVE cats! 😺) For the other dreamies I'd do that for..they'd be Stitches, Deli, Gabi, Hopkins, Henry, Cube, Puck, Rod, Samson, Filbert, Iggly (omg so many to name!) 🙀 The best way to get the dreamies you want is by animal crossing amiibo cards or by a Switch Amiijoy pro controller which has all the villagers built into it. Very helpful tools if you play Animal Crossing a lot. (I have 800 hours of playtime under my belt!!)

I still play this game. Never managed to make any friend in the community so I just play by myself. .. I wish I had people coming over, playing games etc. It's part of the fun too, I think. But seeing how happy and excited you were playing it, it was just nice. 😊 This video warmed my heart.

I’ve been having a rough few weeks but this video cracked me up. Hearing you get so excited over catching all the bugs and where to place the villager houses made life feel so wholesome and innocent for me. I love wholesome moments and this hour and half was one big one!! You went in completely blind having no knowledge of the game and that’s what makes this video so funny and iconic 🤣

This is really a wonderful video. It's nice seeing new players see how magical ACNH is! I really like how in the beginning he said he'd just have a chill stream and not get too excited or whatever, but ended up getting more enthusiastic as time progressed. that’s it im restarting my island! it’s gonna be sad cause i have some of my dream villagers but i got so caught up in decorating and themes and trying to make my island perfect even though no one was ever gonna see it but i’ve lost motivation and joy in the game and i miss playing just because it’s peaceful and fun
Yay! I just restarted with a new island so im looking forward to playing alongside watching your playthrough. I feel like starting from scratch now with all the content being added back feels really smooth and more like a previous games plus all the new good stuff. I even joy happy home paradise 🎉 even if im not good at decorating it still a lot of fun when they provide the furniture for it so i don't have to go craft stuff or grind for materials or money. 😊

i've been experiencing a bit of burnout trying to decorate my island and watching someone play it for the first time so excited and like happy about everything just reignited the flame for the game for me💕 there's so much to do in this game to stop playing bc decorating everything is intimidating

This was a fun watch. I had it on while I was playing the game myself. I'm actually not a big live stream person. I don't have the attention span to sit and watch someone slowly meander through a game. I need the boring parts edited out. BUT, I've been loving turning Animal Crossing streams and vods on while I play New Horizons myself. It's a nice chill time.
Just to give my two cents on the "morality of time skipping". I don't think it matters one way or the other. But I personally would recommend against doing it if you can. I definitely get the want to rush things a bit to get stuff done. And if this were any other Animal Crossing game before New Horizons, I'd say go for it. But the thing with New Horizons, is that they give the player a lot of stuff to do. Like, just general STUFF to keep you playing and give you stuff to do while you wait for the next day. The previous games really didn't. New Leaf tried to with the Meow Coupons, but the fact that they had a daily limit meant you'd still run out of things to do. They really just added like, an extra 10-15 minutes onto your play time.
But with New Horizons, you have the infinitely generating Nook Miles challenges. Nook Miles can be used for more decorative items, app upgrades, more stuff unlocked in general, as well as two different kinds of mystery island tours. And then there's the DLC that adds pretty much the entirety of Happy Home Designer into New Horizons, with the benefit of being able to use every item and new building options that it adds, in your main island. As well as eventually even customizing villager homes. And then there's the whole custom designs and custom clothing thing. And the other various online sharing things. And then everything else the game already had, like the outside decorating and terraforming and stuff.
I just don't really see a real need to time skip in New Horizons. In the other games, sure, but in NH, they gave you plenty of things to do to keep you busy until tomorrow when your stuff happens. Plus rushing the game kinda ruins the chill slow-paced vibe it's got goin on. Like, it's not Stardew Valley where you can rush a huge chunk of stuff right away, or Minecraft where you can have diamonds within the first 15-20 minutes if you just rush to a cave and grab a bunch of iron. Like, you're meant to take your time and relax, chill. Do things as you go. Wander around, talk to villagers, move plants around, make a custom design and make a little path around the island (at least until you unlock real paths). Just kinda, hang out.
*BUT*, that's not to say you SHOULDN'T do it, like it's a law. If you do it, and don't care, and you're enjoying it still, then by all means go for it. Do what you want. I can't tell you what to do. It's just my opinion.
