    Keep in mind that if you go more than 1.5 in odds are you going to need a subframe drop kit. If not you're going to have all kinds of crazy vibrations from the driveshafts. Especially if you have aftermarket cv's. Also, this is NOT a 2 hour job. Depending on how frozen the bolts are, this can take all day. Especially the rear lower shock bolts. I've done 7 element lifts and the quickest one took 4 hours with two people and a lift. The rear is easier but if you go more than 2 inches, call all the fat people you know. They are going to have to hang on the rear control arms so you can get the struts in.

    Get yourself a new camera for your CZcams vids. I love my GoPro 7 black but use it for outdoor trike vids and road drives. There are othe cameras out there that are tiny and cheep. Learned a bit from. this for sure. Already did the camber upper control arms in the back before I put tires on mine. Have to put front struts on mine and will do FVP ready struts as I get wholesale frome the Zone. I'm a parts guy at a dealership. But I was glad to learn from you that I can get a camber bolt kit for the front. My alignment guy said this Element must have curb checked pretty bad and bent the strut on one side. New ready struts will fix that bent part and the camber bolt kit will dial in my front and rear wheels. I can't stand seeing any car that has the wheels tilted in, especially Elements. Makes me crazy when they aren't straight up and down. Been in the car business for almost 40 years and my father was a mechanical Engineer for Ford on the 60's and 70's. That's where I got involved in all the car stuff. Thanks for the vid. I enjoyed it over a brew and sidecar this evening 10/18/22 before the world ends. =)

    Hi can you help me find shock absorbers for a Honda Crossroad 2008. it's a model sold in japan and europe. they didn't bring it to the US bcuz they didn't want to compete with the element. I can find stabilizer bars and links and tie rod ends but can't find shocks or something compatible. I also want put a lift kit on my own. I also think I can use the same kit u have. I thought i could use the element or crv rear absorber in mine but they are shorter than man by two inches and the bolts on top are about half inch further apart on both sides than mine so they don't line up.

    • @hrg_tv
      @hrg_tv  Před rokem +1

      One of our first Element kits we filmed back in 2017 is still on the same axles. 60k miles later. 3 inch ultimate kit. It's the orange E from one of our really old videos. With that said, in order to gain ground clearance, the axles must be at a greater angle by necessity. This indeed will shorten the life of the axles. This is true whether we're talking about a Ford F150 or a Honda Element. It is a trade-off that not everyone is willing to make.

    • @hrg_tv
      @hrg_tv  Před rokem +4

      darel we both know that's not true. Do you even have an HRG kit? our records (going back to 2018) show you have never bought anything from us. If you did call, with or without an HRG kit, this is what I would have told you:
      Check your tires to be sure they're not out of balance
      wheel alignment matters
      solution 1 subframe kit
      solution 2 new axles
      solution 3 take the lift kit off
      These are standard answers that I tell everyone who has the axle vibe. Good luck and I hope you get your Pilot sorted out.

      Pilots sell more because the Element has been out of production for 11 years. Besides that, there are major and I do mean major, hurdles to lifting a Pilot more than 3 inches. The Element lends itself to being lifted much more easily. Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for the 6 inch kit install video, and I'll go into detail as to why.

    I was considering this product but after watching this video I will absolutely take my business else where. For starters you re-used a cotter pin. absolute no no especially for the dollar or less cost on one. Second not properly torqueing to spec with a proper calibrated torque wrench potentially causing early wear and possible damage to the other already clearly well used suspension components. Oh yea and not to mention using power tools to draw in the part with the nut/bolt. Great way to cross thread and damage a pretty crucial components of a safe riding vehicle. This just shows the lack of care attention to detail and professionalism lets me know what kind of quality these parts will end up being. Thanks but no thanks.
