    It's not the gubments fault inflation is so high guys, it's those dastardly supermarkets.

    This will have the opposite effect. Farmers able to get their asking price (with less pushback from the supermarkets) will mean prices will be higher as supermarkets will just add on their markup.
    The cost of living is increasing and the governing is scap goating this to the supermarkets to distract from governments own failures
