  • This video goes over the basics of crocheting your sunburst granny squares together in the join-as-you-go (jaygo) method. You should have a basic understanding of all your stitches like ch, sl st, hdc, dc and tr. It makes a beautiful join that saves you time and yarn. So grab your yarn and get hooking!
    Cheers!

    I love that you share both the blocks AND the join as you go method! I’m not adverse to stitching joins, but I can see how joining is where so many get stalled or stumped after making a heap of squares. Thank you!

    Hi, what about blocking? Does it make a difference if you block at the end rather than each individual square? Thanks!

    • @nautikrallcrochet
      @nautikrallcrochet  Před rokem +1

      Nah-just personal preference. I usually wait and block when my project is finished ☺️

  • @StampinStarCreationswithEsther

    I've recently stumbled across this method- thank you for sharing. QUESTION: when you have completed 4 squared together, do you then stitch/crochet those to another set of 4? Thanks

    • @nautikrallcrochet
      @nautikrallcrochet  Před 2 lety +2

      It doesn’t have to be in 4s. That was just so the tutorial wouldn’t be so long…you can join an entire blanket this way…just keep adding squares as you go along! The only reason I did 4 together in a square like this was to show you the corner joins!

    If I were to crochet all of my squares in one color (ex. brown) would I still have to bind off all of my brown circles and rejoin with my main color brown to jaygo?

    • @nautikrallcrochet
      @nautikrallcrochet  Před 3 lety

      No! You can work it all in one go and save yourself sooooo many ends!! That’s how I world all my solid ones…when you join your 3rd round just chain up 3 and jaygo! Happy crocheting ❤️

    About those big scissors I figured they would be great as a "self-defense"...as in, " Well , you see , 0fficer , I was just doing some sewing... and what had happened was... when I was cutting out the pattern, an' then, alluva sudden, I was startled, and ...and when I turned around...I don't know how it happened , but those big shears just ended up in his bread basket", against an alcoholic, abusive husband. But then I guess public opinion changed and cops change the rules and one day they finally helped me, hallelujah!
