Never in my life have i seen a Aboriginal be portrayed in anything outside of Australian films. But now that this has been brought into light, i'm actually really happy about it. I'm aboriginal myself, and it surprised me when i saw the wizard in this video. But all in all, i honestly loved that they used a culture that is almost never realised in the comic fandom, let alone the DC universe! :D
Thai Rogers I'm Aussie but not aboriginal. I agree, the aboriginal culture should be used more. It is one of if not the oldest culture around and has a wonderful dreamtime history that could be written into anything. We as Aussies should be taught more about the aboriginal myths, legends and culture.

Also, why come no one does anything serious with Supergirl and completely redo her character from the ground up?, hell, they did that in Marvel with Carol Danvers back in 2K12.

I have loved this character ever since I knew about Shazam which was like 2 or 3 years ago. This was my favorite DC character and when I heard there was a movie I got SO excited.
Always loved him more than Supes guess that was the same in his original debut why DC lost their shit lol. But I'm glad he's getting a movie he should have so much great stories.
I find it odd that no one has pointed out that Solomon is not a "god" but was in fact King David's son who God offered him whatever he wanted and instead of wealth or power Solomon asked for a wisdom and knowledge to govern properly a people vast and numerous. God was so impressed with that request that He not only gave Solomon more knowledge and wisdom than any before but also vast marks of honor, wealth, and long life (among other things). It is also important that it is Wisdom that is first because without that the other powers aren't actually useful as they can lead to extreme self-destructive behavior (see Black Adam as an example of that).

Solomon and Achilles are not gods. They're extremely talented mortals. Hercules is a demigod. The others are gods, as far as I know. Many would argue that they're all mythical, but I know that all myths have a factual basis. Who can say for certain?:)

Hercules has an apotheosis, like many cultural heroes and figures in Greco-Roman Mythology. Sometimes being revered for deeds and having become an embodiment of a particular aspect of life makes a person eligible for worship and god hood, if not that, treated as a god. Solomon was not an immortal elder, and they couldn't use Odin (messy) so they just chose a biblical king, an embodiment of wisdom due to his story. Whilst Achilles never reaches god-hood he still has cults and worship that put him at god-like status.

Solomon and Achilles are not gods. They're extremely talented mortals. Hercules is a demigod. The others are gods, as far as I know.
Many would argue that they're all mythical, but I know that all myths have a factual basis. Who can say for certain?:)

Hercules has an apotheosis, like many cultural heroes and figures in Greco-Roman Mythology. Sometimes being revered for deeds and having become an embodiment of a particular aspect of life makes a person eligible for worship and god hood, if not that, treated as a god. Solomon was not an immortal elder, and they couldn't use Odin (messy) so they just chose a biblical king, an embodiment of wisdom due to his story. Whilst Achilles never reaches god-hood he still has cults and worship that put him at god-like status.

Still can't believe they gave the Phantom Stranger an origin. His one schtick was how he was a total mystery, and not only do they take that from him, they slap him with the hackneyed old "Judas" trope to boot. Has that been retconned yet? I hope so.

Ive loved the Idea of Shazam and Capt Marvel for years, now that DC had to change Capt Marvel to SHAZAM, one thing bugs me, when he saves someone and they say "thank you, Whats your Name" what does he say ?
He tells him that his name is Shazam. During the new 52 dc comics relaunch. Dc comics officially changed his name from Captain Marvel to Shazam.
