🔻 *Patch 5 changes that affect the build:* ▫Arcane Charge damage no longer scales with Proficiency, instead it now adds 2 damage to spells against Threatened targets. ▫Summon Golem Bell (bug): is fixed, no longer activate Dash related items, use the other normal methods shown in the video instead. ▫Rhapsody: destroying items with HP or allied summons no longer build up stacks. You need to be actively killing enemies in combat before the dagger unlock it full potential. ▫Craterflesh Gloves (bug): still present ▫Damage modifiers apply on multiple instances (unintended): still present, but not in Honour Mode, see below. 🔻 *Balance changes that are exclusive only to Honour Mode:* ▫In short: the changes are not listed in patch note but only briefly mentioned, so i can't fact check everything. Just expect most builds to have a more grounded performance coming into Honour Mode. ▫Most notably: bonus damage modifiers don't get re-applied multiple times on other damage instances that they weren't supposed to apply. (e.g: Potent Robe / Spellmight damage won't apply their bonus damage on Shriek Melody when playing on Honour Mode) ▫Perilous Stakes can only target allies and no longer able to target enemy for easy Vulnerable to all damage on Honour Mode.
Would you recommend this build for a face character in honor mode? Im slightly worried about survivability w risky ring and the unknown of new boss legendary actions.
@@SuperJoeyShmoey - Most encounters are still the same as Tactician, only major bosses get new buffs or moves. The run is over only when the entire party gets wiped, Downed/Dead characters are fine, they can still be Helped or Resurrected afterward, so there are room for mistakes. - Having a single save available would mean most of your dialogue checks are final (unless you have Inspirations), so any type of CHA build as face character would still be solid, even more so here. - Unequipping doesn't cost any Actions, you can remove Risky Ring anytime when in a bad spot. - In case some of the boss new gimmicks caught you of guard and don't wanna reset, you can pop Invisibility spell/potion to retreat and resurrect, then retry later. - If wiped, the game will continue in Custom Mode, so no progression will be lost for those who prefer the balance changes & stronger bosses in Honour Mode, they can keep playing this way.
How would the itemization change based on patch 5 nerfs? What should be switched and what not? Also, is there any really valid option to Potent Robe? Cuz unfortunately my MP party decided to go yolo during act 2 and we skipped way too many side quests, including the potent robe one. Thanks in advance!
@@yankee6889 - No changes needed for now, but eventually Craterflesh Gloves bug will get fixed, then Spellmight will become your go to Gloves for Act 3. - Potent Robe is still best in slot for Eldritch Blast even after the balance change. However if you missed Potent Robe: Act 2 // wear any Medium Armour after multiclassed into Fighter for better AC Act 3 // Orin now drops a new robe, that has +1 to Attack and Damage rolls while wearer is Shapeshifted , alternative option get more damage on Eldritch Blast. (You can shapeshift using Disguise Self from Gold Draconic Bloodline or Mask of the Shapeshifter)

These builds are great! So strong and fun. Great job! Gonna run Durge with this on my next go through. I hope you keep going with these! Maybe a shadow monk Astarion or Druid/fighter Jaheira. Whatever you do it will be impressive!
I've been using ALL your builds in a modded Dark Urge run with all other 10 recruitable characters in the party at the same time on Nightmare Difficulty (enemy +50% HP/level and Lv*Lv/2 bonus damage), Immersive AI, Stronger Bosses and Enemies and True Initiative (to slightly nerf Alert) and they all wreck the game without even using Illithid powers. Thank you for giving me one of the most fun playthroughs ever.
The best build guide I've seen, BY FAR. Kudos! My only gripe is that there are shields recommended early on, but you are NOT proficient with shields until you have a fighter level under your belt, which doesn't happen until level 9. Before then, Eldritch Blast and some other abilities CANNOT be cast with a shield equipped.
mirror of loss can actually give +3 charisma if youre willing to reroll a bit, you just need the patriar's memory thing to pop, then you can get 24 charisma without the hat if you want, i dont think you can get it to 26 tho
@@therealab4 its random chance, when you take any mirror of loss stat change theres a chance that instead of letting you choose the stat boost something about stelmane and gortash will come out on its own, this will give you a +1 cha, and let you take another proper stat boost, then just cleanse the debuffs with remove curse
After completing my first run on tact with your enlightened, inferno thrower, Empyrean + a monk, I finished my honor run recently with your Nightbringer, draconic knight, exiled marauder + a classic assa/gloom/figther. So much fun ! Towards the end of the game my crit range was 14 to 20 + advantage from risky ring and with the craterflesh gloves bugged interaction, 9 blasts in a turn often turned to 14-18 blasts, I was such a MENACE. Little tip for people considering this build : Stock up on potions of angelic reprieve from Lan Tarv in act 2, it'll help a lot if you go thief/fighter you'll hardly have any spell to convert in sorcery points, those potions really make up for it. Thanks for the great builds
I've been running a gith only duo party party with a similar build as this for my main. Very effective from beginning to end, but it does take until moonrise (risky ring and potent robes) to really feel like a powerhouse.
If you brought any companions with you for a full 4 team, which ones would you choose? Really enjoyed watching this build and definitely trying it now as we speak!
Damn, Patch 5 already obsoleted two minor tricks mentioned for this build: 1) the Golem Bell trigger of Dash effects (23:24) was fixed and 2) Scarlet Remittance no longer procs on hitting things like boxes (27:06).
This video was incredibly well done. Your communication skills, thoroughness, and graphics are all top notch. I don't usually comment and I never like and subscribe after watching a single video, but I did here. You earned my like and subscription. Great work!

Best guide format I've ever seen, amazing! Do you think this build is still worth it if you remove all the crit fishing elements? I already have a crit build planned for my honour playthrough.
Absolutely amazing build. Clearly thought out and easy to understand while not being a bro dude in your commentary. Can't wait to see what else you have. Subscribed and jumping to your other guides. Thank you. Are you by chance using mods for the character creation? If not, what are your setting this model is amazing.
It looks like they're playing as a drow half-elf. The face is familiar to me. The skin might be the palest of the swatches named vampire, and the eyes may be infernal purple(? unsure the name, purple with black sclera as given to tieflings by default, and accessed by clicking show all).
Playing this build right now with my solo honour mode run and it claps! BTW, whispering promise ring works with eldritch blast even though it says "weapon attacks". Helps to make your high damage EBs connect in the early game.
Just a tip: you could add Risky Ring to the equipment at act 2. I didn't check out the recommended equipment for act 3 until I reached it, and therefore missed the chance to buy it at the Moonrise Towers as I was following the guide chronologically.

Super duper guide, thanks! One note... I'm not sure we wear anything that actually triggers the defense fighting style taken from Fighter 2. Not that there's anything better but, may as well take Two Weapon Fighting
Surfaces that’s been electrified or burning caused by spell that dealt lightning damage from lightning charges, will damage any creature in it and procs multiple items damage.
Just wanted to say I've watched your content ever since you were making build guides for DoS2 and I'm a big fan of your work. Are you planning on doing a Honour mode run on the channel like you did for DoS2?
You can still get the robes if you knock alfira out prior to your long rest, I recommend using your strongest melee member and have them knock her out while she's secluded in the grove while the rest of your party is away
Amazing video and awesome build. Just out of curiosity there is an illithid power that lets you cast actions and bonus actions interchangeably. Would it open up anymore synergies with this build? I’ve used it to spam fireballs before so was curious if this build could use it.

Great, i really hope patch 5 didn't sort of "nerfed" this build, when i check it up i didn't see much things that would "affect" the build either so idk. I havent tried this build yet tho
Always bring a bard to the party, like Astarion. 1 extra short rest for free. Especially with a warlock in the party (and basically every other class) Also great for abb / skill checks etc.
If you pray to the mirror before passing the Second religion check you can potentialy gain 1+ charisma trough patriciar memory it is random tho so spare at least one slot to use when you pass the second religion check
Cool build but where does your initiative come from? Seems like this character would always be going last with only +3 from dex. You use your bow and melee slots on crit items and don't take alert as a feat or use elixir of vigilance. And with only potent robe it doesn't seem very tanky. On tactician are you not getting rocked before your first turn?
There are other great robes in Act 3 but the Potent robe really is best for Warlock. You can get it as dark urge but you need to knock Alfira out BEFORE you trigger the long rest when she would appear in your camp
How did you get 24 char at 24:30? Seems like you get 1 feet for ASI to get to 19 CHAR, +1 hag hair 20 CHAR, +2 birthright 22 CHAR, where is the additional +2 from?
reverberation gloves, act1 creche would add a Lot as well especially in combo with the amulet. the headgear that adds 2 rnds of arcane synergy adds all cha bonus again. so another 5 to each blast
@@GnarDogTstix i would have to check again, but if i recall, the warlock can add that to the weapon when its pact weapon. Which would mean another +5 with cha 20. And i think i saw it with the blasts too, you can test and see the logs.

Seems like you get 1 feet for ASI to get to 19 CHAR, +1 hag hair 20 CHAR, +2 birthright 22 CHAR, where is the additional +2 from?
Along with this what do you recommend party wise to go with this build and synergize well in battle but still pass dialogue fairly good also?
I found a person who likes both Arknights and BG3.
Is the bug with Craterflesh fixed in Patch 5? So I can try
reverberation gloves, act1 creche would add a Lot as well especially in combo with the amulet.
the headgear that adds 2 rnds of arcane synergy adds all cha bonus again. so another 5 to each blast
How would arcane synergy headpiece fit in this build? It only applies the dmg modifier to your weapon attacks?
@@GnarDogTstix i would have to check again, but if i recall, the warlock can add that to the weapon when its pact weapon. Which would mean another +5 with cha 20. And i think i saw it with the blasts too, you can test and see the logs.
