Mad Season! River of Deceit is about as beautiful a song as the Seattle scene produced. Was just curious to see what folks were posting about my old first amp from the 90’s, and that was a pleasant surprise. Great little amp 🤘🏻 🎸
This was my first amp and its highly underrated... G-series marshall's were all the way better that MG series that come after it.. still regred to sell this, awesome practice amp...
Sounds nice, I’m looking forward to her one of these used, I’ve read that these are the Park line by Marshall, there’s also that same model but labeled under Park. I have just a couple of questions, first what is the impedance of that 10” speaker? And second, is the reverb an actual spring tank or is it a digital one? Thanks by the way.
Hello and that you for your question! The specific model that was shown here had an 8ohm speaker. Unfortunately it was a digital reverb, but it was more than useful and sounded great. Of course only my opinion :-) Be well and best of luck in your purchase. This was a great deal
@@FatMatt_Tones Hey there, I got the G30R CD yesterday, and after taking it apart for some maintenance I found out that it has an actual spring reverb tank inside, and the speaker is 4 ohm by the way. Do you perhaps know what year these were made? There doesn't seem to be much information about it online.
Hi. And greetings from England. Is it legal to play single coils with a Marshall in the States then? Because this side of the pond you get lynched and carted away before you've even finished the last chorus. ;-)
LOL. I'm not sure about the legal ramifications but I'll keep an eye out for the authorities for sure! Thanks for the heads up! And maybe Jimi Hendrix was more of a rebel then we realized 😉
sounds good to me i hate this new amps now days all of them stuck factory pre set fx sounds all i need is od and clean i might have to get one of this so i can do my gigs and not fight factory pre sets all night long lol
God that sounds fantastic. As you warmed up it really sounded fantastic, and the chords are just lush
Thank you and it did sound better in the room :-)
Sounds great! Nice demo

I bought the same type of amp for under $40 bucks because it has some wear and tear and a bit of rust. Great dirt channel!
WOW man!! great deal!! Great dirt for sure!! I was also impressed with the cleans tho... :)

It is a great amp and I fully agree with your opinion on the MG series. I'm on the lookout for another for sure :)
Is it loud enough to play eith band in small club?

Hi. is it possible to use it for bass guitar? Thanks
No, it'd wreck the speaker. BUT, you can use a bass amp for a guitar, but the overdrive wouldn't be as cool, though.
This thing have a tube in it?
No it doesn't. The Valvestate models do though. I've been on and off keeping an eye out for one.
Does it got reverb
It did have reverb. Very good sounding. Almost fendery
Patrick Shannon yes... it “got” reverb. 🤣
I bought one of these used, but the dirty channel won't come on, and the clean channel is super low on volume. Any ideas why?
Maloy Audy have you checked the PCB to see if there is anything burned out? And for the volume maybe measuring the potentiometer could help
Yes, it has a spring reverb for that real Marshall sound.
