  • Good morning all. On the bench today we have my 1999 Marshall G30RCD, recently dug out of storage. It was filthy and falling apart, and most noticeably we have a very nasty sounding volume pot on the gain channel. We're going to give this thing a once over, pull the chassis out and spray some cleaner in all of the pots, check for loose or bad components, and give her a good cleaning!
While certainly not on the same level as an American or British-made tube amp (these are made in Korea), for the money these little solid state practice amps give surprisingly nice tones and are very versatile...and can get pretty dang loud! Please pardon my rather sub par guitar skills, I'm still getting back into playing electric after being relegated to acoustic for about 10 years. 😀
    Thanks for watching!

Thank you sir, that was very helpful. I'll muster enough courage to do also what you did 😀

Just received one from my coworker as a hand-me-down, I’m excited to crack it open and get it cleaned up. Thanks for the great video! I will remember to keep it all unplugged 🤠

That's awesome! Did you get it for free? If so, thats a great score! Not sure if I want to put a whole lot of money into mine, but I've been toying with the idea of dropping a better speaker into it to see if it makes any difference. Probably a waste of $$, but it would make a neat experiment!
