Oak before ash,
we're in for a splash
Ash before oak,
we're in for a soak.
Best show in years when my grandchildren ask what I'm doing I reply I've fish to smoke and a boat to buy well done Katie*Scott
Thanks Kevin!
Perfect answer Kevin, I love it !!
It annoys me that ppl feel the need to comment on what you do or don't do. If you wanted to spend your days running around the island fully naked, it's up to you. It's your home, your channel 😮😅 xx
Don't encourage him!
@@TheScottishIsle lololol
Amen!
Katie had a little lamb, her fleece was white as snow, and everywhere that Katie went the lamb was sure to go.
"He followed her to school one day, which was against the rule! But it made the children laugh and play to see the lamb at school!"😊😅 & then there's the " Mary had a little lamb, his fleece was black as soot;& into Mary's bread and jam, his Sooty foot he put!" Version😊😅 Ah! Childhood memories! Lol! Best wishes to everyone ♥ 😊Julia. J.I.M.K Mrs. Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 ❤ 😀 🪃.
thats stunning seeing the moon roll up the mountain like that
It reminded me of a scene from 'The Quiet Man.' "Tis a nice soft night. I think I'll join my comrades at the pub...and talk a little treason."
Katie - you are just so naturally gorgeous!
And Scott - the botanical shots today were sublime! When you trail the camera through the flowers and foliage down at ankle height (you've done so before as well), it has for me a sort of timelessness or time-warp effect - transports me to centuries past or some such. I'm sure it's just me... I can't quite explain it.
I think that every episode, Katie is one of the prettiest ladies l have ever seen. Another delightful episode both of you. l said to my husband half way through this episode that it is better than anything on the television ( which l don’t even bother to see what is on nowadays!) Delightful, picturesque and informative. Thankyou Scott and Katie.
The Onedin Line! 🤣 Katie you are Wonderwoman! Great filming Scott! The moon! 😃
The flower close ups are stunning!! Thank you for doing that!
The wee Lamb is so precious❤
Gosh, the moon is beautiful on the water....rather breathtaking!
Spring is so.beautiful
Sweet baby! 🐑🐑🐑🐑 A very artsy and beautiful episode, the moon over the hills, the amazing flowers! As always, thank you for sharing your magical island/life with us! 💞💞💞
I love the paint on that old door. Super episode. Thank you.
Treasures of nature to be found every day. So beautiful
What a lovely place. Many thanks for including all of us ❤
I love that spoon it’s fascinating. Hope you find lots more good stuff
Love your video, my relaxing me time of the week . Interesting , funny , & the amazing photo of the moon shining on the water 👍. That little lamb is adorable 🥰. Have a good week . Look forward to seeing you soon.
When I heard the elevator music I went to the lobby to get myself a treat.📽+🎞 =🥤+🍿 The moon and flowers were lovely.👍
The quality of this video was so good. The flowers were glorious . Thanks for sharing their beauty with us.
Love you guys! nuph said!
I stand corrected it is on the Island. Thanks you're right!XOXOXOXO
This is my very favorite show on CZcams. Thank you for the beauty & quality of content.
What a usual wonderful video. Such different things mixed in. For me I always love the biodiversity and the beautiful filing of plants, scenery. I love the Jurassic plants the stink ones and those near the deer fence. Are they a native plant. Katie would love an update sometime about the plants you planted in the bog. Oh your videos are always full of so much bird song. Sounds. You may not notice this as you live with this but since spring it’s a background of noise. Please say hi to Martin. Hope he has a mate and buns .
Beautiful pictures with the full moon!
It never ceases to amaze me how many people tell you that you are doing everything the wrong way ! whatever you do it's not right. Keep up the good work, take care of your animals your way (they seem to be doing quite well in spite of all the random suggestions) Live your lives well and take only positive suggestions ! x
I could watch your life on this Scottish Island every day... The views and vegetation you show are so beautiful !!! Thank you for sharing 😊
Aww Shona is just so gorgeous, she is going to have such a wonderful life with you. You two are just so funny at times, what a great sense of humour you both have. May is such a wonderful month, you can see all the magic happening, buds starting to open up and Bluebells ( my favourite flower) a plenty. Great editing Scott. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. Looking forward to the next episode. ❤️xx
You make me lol. Can't come soon enough. Wonderful beautiful program. Thankyou.
A living postcard ❤
Such a delightful couple! Loved the "elevator music" 😂.
Wonderful spoon .. mum had some of those spade handle in the early 60s probably much older than that though .Victoriana , lovely
Whoohoo, a new dish for two handsome people who need this to give us great videos. I look forward to more❤😊
O I seriously like the spoon
Agree the spoon is a cool find.
I love watching your channel and look forward to each one. Wonderful videography and beautiful scenery.
🎵Katie had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb, Katie had a little lamb, her fleece was white as snow🎵Such a beautiful bubba. The scenery, music and day to day life you are having on this extraordinary Island brings me joy. Thank you xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥
The moon video you captured is a jewel!!!!!
Bluebells are absolutely beautiful and darling little Shona is growing so fast. Keep chopping your " sticks" Scott 😂😂😂😂❤
Love the flowers with the harp music.
The stone in the garden before you get to the huge Jurassic plants looks like a troll , definitely a secret garden .
The wild flowers and those bluebell’s are just stunning. Those other big leafy plants are humongous…. What are they called?
Too bad about the cart but def needs a good prepare. At least Scott was not hurt.
The deer didn’t look healthy to me but it was nice it felt comfortable come close to you.
The baby lamb is so adorable and loved seeing her play with Katie.
The two of you are fun to watch and some times make me laugh so hard… I enjoy your channel so much. Take care and see you next time. ❤❤❤
That baby is so very precious and the flowers are so beautiful
Careful with the vinegar at the plants. I use white vinegar as a weed killer on the paving. ♥️🌹🐝
I love that I laugh at your jokes, even when I do not get the cultural references. I just enjoy your delight in each other.
So pleased you didn't bury the cable all the way from the dish to the house!😂
So are we!
Love it when you two banter back and forth …makes me smile…Shona is growing so fast..❤…loved hearing all the birds singing in the background and seeing all the plants blooming ….can’t wait to see you shear Crowley and Bree…😊
The path is beautiful with the greenery and the flowers. The state of Texas here in the US is covered in bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrush. The baby lamb is so precious. Sending lots of love 🤗❤️
Oh my goodness what a beautiful sight,I love bluebells
Mad conversation at the end, but still a lovely video.
ON the Scottish Isle though.....
IN the UK (which comprises MANY islands: Great Britain, Isle of Wight, Anglesey, Skye, Lewis+Harris, Barra, Mull, Muck, Arran, Islay, Mainland Orkney....etc).
Texas official flower is the Blue Bonnet and it's a beautiful wildflower in the spring. Your Blue Bonnets are stunning also. Just lovely! I recognize the daffodils, though it would be nice to know the other plants also.
Another immensely enjoyable episode, you bring such joy with a splash of humour that always makes us giggle. It’s a looooong week between episodes, but is more than worthy of the wait. Thank you from a most grateful Canadian for sharing your adventures. Much ❤ to you all.
Hi Scott and Katie. It's Erin ogg again. I love the short on the little one. you probably hear this all the time. My grandfather family came from Scotland. I sure hope I get to visit Scotland before I die. It's on my bucket list. Love your shorts and videos
You two seem to be living the best life. Thank you for showing us your beautiful island ❤
The whole content of your videos is beautiful.
Glad you like them!
A beautiful episode !! Love all the natural shots, the moon the bluebells all fabulous, and what a joy little Shona is, just love your channel and can't wait for the next episode, I look forward to it every week. Greetings from N.Z
The wild flowers are so very beautiful and all so green ... love it !
Moving thru the grieving process, I have to say that I enjoyed this episode, as it brought a beautiful amount of laughter, the humour is magnificent, thank you. All your episodes have been a lifeline for me too. Greatest of Gratitude to both of you, I so appreciate you.
❤️
What an amazing natural garden. It brings you back to life after a cold winter. I miss the seasons where I live here in Australia. I may have to move again 😀 have a great week 🇦🇺
We were suitably amazed at the spoon find 😊 Snakes are a worry here in Tasmania as they are all poisonous - I got concerned and then remembered your snakes are mostly not poisonous …
I've never been to the UK in spring, but I've heard so many people say the bluebells are just beautiful. No image I've seen of them until yours has explained this strong outpouring of appreciation. NOW I understand (as best I can without actually being there). Could anything be prettier? Well, maybe a tiny lamb nestled so contentedly in Katie's lap. And thanks, Scott, for sharing your archeological finds. You're not the only one who finds wear patterns and the patina of use and/or of neglect (rust) potent reminders of members of our human tribe who have been on the very spot of earth we are now. How long ago did the person on your island sit and eat their porridge or stew and set that spoon down, not to be found until centuries later? Also, I just want to say the music in this episode was superb - Katie mentions what the sound track to the activity could be, and there it is. Brilliant!
That Yellow Azalea looks like Azalea Luteum which is highly scented so on a warm evening go and have a sniff. You will probably smell it before you arrive if breeze in the right direction. 💕
Oh wow!
Blur balls are my favorite flower. I rethem from my childhood in England Seanog, I guess is how it’s spelt, is so cute!
Well done for however you got the shots going closeup through the bluebells delightful and the daisies so beautiful thank you for the close ups of all the flowers that was awesome. 😁👏
The videography is beautiful the way you portrayed your beautiful island
Another fabulous video, thank you 😊. Such variety, fun, laughter, and hard work 😊
Lovely to watch..Oak before Ash your in for a splash .. Ash before oak you’re in for a soak ❤
OMG, you twa make me laugh. Fantastic video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi just loved the diversity of the video. Have joined Patron Scottish Isle. Not sure what it is exactly but will no doubt find out soon. All the flowers were beautiful. Thank you. 🐏🐑🐑🐈⬛🐈⬛
Hello Katie and Scott, yes another great episode. Looking forward to the next one as always.
Your bluebell are magnificent 😻. The bluebells here in south wales 🏴 are past their best now.
The deer could be moulting. It’s hard to tell on the screen.
Love the music choices 😆
Loving the elevator music and rowing music. Just made me laugh.
Sweet little shona. Very lovely to watch her exploring.
Must be really weird to feel like your in the middle of nowhere and then see people kayaking right past you so close.
Beautiful episode. A bit of everything. ❤
Beautiful beautiful episode... Love the flora and fauna
So much bio diversity
So sweet adore shona
On or in. I live on Earth but I also live in the USA. Fun conversation. Thanks for letting us hear the birds. Love it
Hello from France. All of your videos are educational and entertaining. Thanks for sharing the beautiful island you are living ON (😅): The moonlight and the blossoming, what a feast for the eyes.
I have Starlink in western Queensland Australia & our temperatures are 40-45C in the height of summer & we still have perfect reception via our Starlink dish. I strongly doubt that 30C would be too hot for your dish.
We LOVE watching your channel. It’s lovely. Thank you both.
I really enjoy watching your channel, it's lovely to see both your personalities coming out more, with each video.
🙋♀️❤️. The beautiful moon looked like it was bouncing up the hill as it rose!
That Skunk Cabbage has a very VERY nice smell, Haha, Do you have any Wild Garlic on the Island? I love that stuff, was at a Job the other day and the garden was covered in it, made us very hungry though.
Your internet dish was sabotaged by the woodland Bogart's .. the little mischievous people. How come out to play at night 😂
Your moon-rise, landscape and flower shots inspire so much hope. Here in the High Rockies, the moon is the same gorgeous, but we are still a good month out from flowers. The lilacs are just showing some timid buds.
You have to be the best lamby parents there are, teaching her how to play! Adorable! I feel a little bad because, if my guy had had such good care takers, he might still be around. I inherited him in return for a good deed because he was no longer compatible with his flock, but I wasn't knowledgeable enough to take proper care of him. So sad.
I am heartened to see you fixing the trailer instead of just thoroughgoing up your hands and thoroughgoing it out I'm really glad you weren't hurt. We should all have a bit more of that mentality!
I love old silverware. My favorite family pieces I have are worn baby spoons.
Chopping wood is an honorable use of time and I chide anyone who devalues it.
I can't wait to see what the inevitable metal detector turns up.
Ah, waiting and sipping coffee. It's raining and quite nice to wait for 'my' program to start. Katie when are you taking out the recipe book again. ♥️🌹🐝
So relaxing - love watching you guys ... and enjoy your dry sense of humor 😊
Beautiful post! Loved the moon, the blue bells and your precious lamb!
Your vlogs just get better each time….thanks for sharing!
The flowers are magical❤
And the birdsong as well
I love that your island is coming alive. Bluebells are fabulous. But Audrey II (which looks like Gunnera Tinctoria) is pretty amazing, too. And very prehistoric looking.
Line the base of your trailer with 3/4 inch ply. It absorbs the weight and helps distribute the load. Also I’d be inclined to bolt a couple of steel strips on the base to cover those tears and reinforce the base.
Great video. Love Katie's comment when Scott said he won't be around once the metal detector is bought. "Can't come soon enough." 😁😂😂😂 Think that might have slipped his attention. 😂😂😂 Well done! Enjoy you both.😊
Love, LOve, LOVE your videos! The elevator music as a hoot!! As for the in and on.... You live IN Scotland, because you are within the boundaries of Scotland. You live on an island within the boarder (in) Scotland. Thank you for taking us along on your journey! Blessings! T
My daughter lived on Lewis for 5 years and this reminds me of the lovely times we had going up there. We had a weeks holiday near where you live on the way up . I can't express how beautiful it is on the western side of Scotland. I also envy your life style.
Great respect for rowing out to get to your car. Musical score was spot on! 😂 It was lovely seeing the bluebells❤
I love all of your flowers in the Spring, particularly the Blue Bells!
The deer may just be losing its winter coat
I have the same blue flowers in my backyard on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. They are prolific and beautiful! I looked them up because I would call them bluebells. However I found that they are called woodland hyacinth. Gorgeous pictures today on your video 😊
Beautiful episode, the whole island is looking amazing! Lovely to see Shona coming along so well . Thanks for sharing the wonderful Scottish Isle with us all , I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, much more entertaining than the rubbish on tv!! Now off you go Scott and chop some sticks , mind you don’t trip over the tree trunks whilst you’re at it 🤣
Thank you so much for sharing your island life. The imagery and music irresistibly suggests the island's past and the flow of time. My favourite channel! ❤ PS you're a great couple!
We watch your videos at home all the time
Oh, I loved the moon footage; thank you ❤
Glad you enjoyed it. Kx
You guys should look into getting an Argocat 8x8 or similar amphibious ATV, there's some older similar cheaper options.
Would be perfect for traversing the island and crossing to the mainland!
There is so much to watch and listen to and laugh at Love you ❤
