In all the leaks the one thing that it does not show is the actual lens coating 90 degrees for vertical shooting. I would think that if the screen is vertical, the lens / sensor should physically orientate to a vertical position like on their drone. I hope vertical is true vertical and not cropped vertical in ht horizontal orientation. Maybe there is a double tap or something to put it into true vertical mode.
I will be getting it for the 1" sensor alone as video stabilization will be much better than my Sony ZV-1.
Any news on the Lens F stop?

The most important thing is the aperture and it was not revealed in the promo image which is kinda strange. Hope it's not gonna be like 2.8 or something
Here are my concerns. Pocket 1 and Pocket 2 had super annoying add ons for features that should have been included in the body like wifi. I don't see a connection for attaching to a phone or adding a do it all handle. Have they done the right thank and put wifi in the body? To be competitive against iPhone/smart phone they will have to make it worth carrying an extra device without the cash grab add ons. And if it does have an add on it better be for battery life or a removeable battery so we can carry spares. That was a huge missed opportunity to make the do it all add on be wifi/speaker, when it should have been wifi/battery. NOBODY used that speaker.
Also the rounded bottom screens cash grab add ons
No mention of aperture so I assume it might be slower than the current generation. Also looks like cannot use original accessories such as the opriginal scroll wheel, which I love, and much prefer to the joystick of the second generation.

I think it will be the best for vloggers in mixed light since it have so big sensor. But the price will be a bit more expensive than Osmo Action 4.
I think that for a 1-inch sensor with autofocus, it will be justified. action 4 is a sports camera for all conditions, and pocket is a pure vlogging camera
@@xXadambXx But some use OA4 for vlogging since it is waterproof. If Pocket 3 would handle heavy rain it would be perfect for vloggers outdoors.
But we have to see about heat, bigger sensor creates more heat in most cases.
To not hit the joystick, record button or screen you are going to have to attach something on the bottom. This design might be small, but doesn't take into consideration that you actually need to hold the device to use it.
I ask myself how you handle it if you want to use the joystick. I used the extension wheel to move the camera up or down as I was going around. Was giving very stable footage.
There are accessories that fit on the bottom - a handle with an extra battery, or a smaller handle which has the tripod mount on it, which can then be extended with the mini tripod.
I'm curious how Pocket 3 will perform in the dark.

Yes I bought the pocket 2 because I really like the first version but it was not so much better. The larger fov even made it worse for many shots.

3 mics is a downgrade from the 4 on the Pocket 2 - that's a pity. On the P2 you could talk at it from the back or the front. Now it's one or the other (which?)

The leaked everything except the field of view. I was a big fan of the pocket one but the pocket 2 fov was very often too wide. 24mm fov was fitting well for my style but I think the vlogger crowd is too massive and loud that it will be a smaller fov. 😎😚

It is a Gamechanger. I use the Pocket 1 and now i want to have the Pocket 3 because the 1 Inch Sensor and the Display. This will be my Xmas-Gift from my Family.
Hi folks, FYI a one inch sensor is not one inch across the diagonal, it's about the size of a 16 mm film gate. The one inch dimension is a carry over from the original 'Videcon' vacuum tubes used in the days before solid state sensors. These were one inch in outside diameter with a photo sensitive area of about 13 x 9 mm and a diagonal of just under 16 mm.

For most of the world inch is a marketing term and not really a length. We use it here only for small sensor size and displays. I really have no feeling how long an inch is and I think it doesn't matter.
But is it showerproof / waterproof ? Removable battery ?
An extra battery handle goes on the bottom.

I hope that the viewing angle will not be as high as in the Pocket 2, because it was a bit too narrow. The equivalent of a 16 mm lens would probably be the best (probably the favorite lens for vloggers shooting full frame)
Hopefully the will go back to a fov of 24 mm. Not everybody loves to use it for putting their distorted face in the video. 😊
For my kind of videos 24mm looks much better.
I have the 2 and it only last for 40+ minutes. If only they can have the battery be interchangeable then I would buy the 3!

For 300-350$ would be ok. If more so you could buy Iphone 15 pro instead and use as your everyday camera

No. You use it with a phone for remote control.
