How to fix a CD Player NO DISC or DISC ERROR

- This video is just a guide on how to repair a no disc problem. Before we buy a new lens lets check or repair the lens by tweaking the lens trimmer. Sometimes the trimmer is the cause of no disc or disc error problem. Trimmers for a long period of time will changed their value set by the manufacturer due to moisture and corrosion.

Pero ten en cuenta que aumentar la potencia del láser lo desgasta más rápido así que tarde o temprano te fallara nuevamente
@@gomenoni possible but if your unit is functioning well then don't do this. If it's already no disc and even you clean the lens still no disc then do this or best if you can replace it with a new set of lens.

I bought a Sony D-NF420 cd player recently. The former owner said the cd spins but doesn't read the cd. When I receive it, hopefully I'll be able to fix it😊

@@lexbeltran1354 There are many reasons why the player is "NO Disc". In this video this is your last troubleshoot before you need to replace the lens. In no disc one reason is a dirty lens, the shaft that holds the disc maybe too low or too high for the lens to read, The motor or something block the cd to spin and many other reasons.

Hi man, I changed the laser pickup on my 95 Sony player but it still stops and errors after reading the disc for 30 s. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? Thanks.
It's the alignment you need to align by tweaking the trimmer. But always careful in replacing lens. It's hard to align if you don't have a specific tools for aligning the laser in this video I'm using a trial and error no special tools.
I have a Philip DBB portable CD player. I accidentally used 6v than it required which is 4.5v and it got very hot I turn it off right away. The sceen still turn on but just keep saying no disc. Do you think I burnt the laser part or I could actually fix it? If I have burnt it will the display still show? Thank you!
When you plug 6 volts does the unit turn ON then music play?

@@Dee-xt4ll did it play a music? or it suddenly turned hot when you plug the 6 volts. If the player did not play a music but the player turn suddenly hot maybe you used a wrong polarity.

@@blondedco Either of the two it needs to have a small turn. It's a trial and error.

If it play's stuttering it might have a problem in lens or the mechanism that drive's the lens back and forth. Try to clean the lens with a disc cleaner. Check the mechanism for dust and other debris that stuck in the gears.
what happen if i turn it too far like almost 360degree?
Nothing will happen but it is no disc
