Mum loved The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films and we chose this to be played in chapel at the end of her funeral service. Beautiful music that will bring tears to my eyes whenever I hear it for the rest of my days.
It's an absolute tragedy that Bilbo's theme was so underused in the Hobbit trilogy. It's like a distant cousin of the shire theme. The story goes, Howard shore intended to use this theme to represent Bilbo, but Peter Jackson wanted to use the Shire theme instead.
That's what made me think of this song. I played the Lego Hobbit game back in 2016. This song popped into my head and searched a while for the song until I found it. Glad to hear others felt nostolgic about that video game with this song as well.
Because the human spirit can be very inspiring and beautiful despite our worst tendencies. I have a feeling your life is busy and tough like all of us,, and you'd like to run away to Middle earth to get away from it all :)
@@vercingetorixavernian8978 Exactly. , we want to be in a peacefull place with a lot of friends around us and enjoy the little things in life that really matters
Because we associate experiences with events, I associated this song with a beautiful woman I met in Spain that I never will see again but because I listened to the song in the same timeframe I met her it is encoded together. Magical and Amazing how that works some things are beyond science.

There's a great fan edit of the trilogy by Maple Films which inserts this theme back into the movie at a few key scenes, it fits really well.
@@ALocalClown Do you have the link to that ?
Melancholy is such a strange emotion
Still listening to this every before i go to bed and every time I’m in tears
This is such an underrated piece, it’s so beautiful and genuinely up there with the best of LOTR’s soundtrack for me
This is making me nostalgic to the Lego The Hobbit game, eventhough I just played it today and yesterday.

Dreaming of Bag End. Like missing a home where you have never really been but in your mind.
Because it was real
what instrument is the main woodwind??!? my wistful heart needs to know...
Just listen
Probably flute or some form of it
it's a tin whistle: czcams.com/video/3NSj8C8TH_k/video.html
Sounds like an Irish flute
Not as good as TLotR score but is second to me.
