I hear a difference on my focals... the cymbals are more strident on the aurora vs the motu. Also there is a slight bump on the mids in the motu.

They aren't comparable products since the 8Pre is a midrange interface. That would be much more honestly if they compare Lynx Aurora with Motu 896mk3.

Hmm I don’t hear a difference but I am listening through 15dollar ear buds on a iPhone like most people. Do you hear a difference?

There is a big difference. Anyone can hear that with quality studio monitors but there is no wonder because of Lynx Aurora has much higher quality level than Motu 8pre. This comparison is not honestly. That would be much more honestly if they compare Lynx Aurora with Motu 896mk3.

Hey folks, you can't compare these two ones because they have completely different levels of quality. Why don't you try to compare Aurora with Motu 896mk3? That would be much more honestly.

Nah should be compared to the higher end MOTU AVB interfaces that's up there with Apogee esp the MOTU 16A.

@@eman0828 But anyway I'd like to hear if there is a real difference between them because this comparison is not true - Lynx Aurora has higher level quality than Motu 8pre.

@@MaksimPopichuk well of course because they aren't comparable products since the 8Pre is a midrange interface that's more on the Prosumer side while the MOTU HD192 and the modern AVB Pro Audio interfaces from MOTU are their top tier products. The video is comparing apple's to Oranges of two distinct interfaces in different classes. Since the Lynx Aurora is an early 2000s converter it would make since to compare it with the MOTU HD192. While the new Lynx Aurora (n) should be compared to the MOTU 16A AVB interface which replaced the legacy HD192.

@@eman0828 Yes of course. That's the reason I suggested them to compare Lynx Aurora with Motu 896mk3 but they didn't do that until now.

@@MaksimPopichuk yeah but the 896 is still more on like a mid tier interface. It has built in mic pres def more geared towards the project studio market opposed to high end studio. The HD192 is an acutal studio converter like the classic Digidesign 192 i/o interface. The 896 is more equivalent to Apogees mid tier Ensemble interfaces since they are both firewire interfaces. The MOTU HD192 used a PCIE card like a Protools HD rig.
