Number one rule to almost everything. Can’t have quality and be fast. Good work takes time. If you do it quickly you sacrifice the quality of the job. And yes a vacuum can get >95%. Grab a pet fur brush like the Lilly brush and you can get all the stubborn thing straws of grass. Then vacuum it up when it’s in a pile.
Depending on conditions and what people want to pay for your time , but a basic detail is all about speed and detail
@@1ahozzSure but WAD doesn't offer basic detailijg
@@simonan3950what do you think it’s for
Omg. Actual reason. ❤ encapsulant does hide alot of soiling though. It looks good but is very soiled still.
Bro go and say that to a dealer detailer lmao... i can do a full interior in no more than 2 hours including everything you may see or touch on the interior, carpets and seats extracted, etc
Kia Soul carpet is a nightmare 😱
I used this process but had to learn it on the fly lol I wasn't prepared.
Maybe don’t buy a Kia soul 😆
@@matthewmayberry22 Maybe it was a customer.. You gonna turn down every customer that owns a Kia soul or you gonna learn how to do it the right way? Smh
For real 😂😂
Omg Fr I hate doing that kind! Especially when it has dog hair too
its not even carpet really i call it floor liner lol
I do a halfass vaccum, then loosen up the dirt with air, then spray it with all purpose cleaner, then throughly go over it with the air. I dont do my final vacuum until after ive cleaned the rest of the car as dirt/grime from doors, cupholders, etc. Will land on the carpet
Exactly how I do it! overtime you’ll know how to cut corners and get the job done and still come out efficient
It looks that good because the carpet is still wet from the steamer. When it dries up if you didn’t agitate the carpet where there stains or gunk it will resurface.
That’s why you get a dry/wet vacuum
Too many people think steaming is the answer to everything.. extract it. It's common to extract a clean looking carpet and pull out a coffee spill out of it.
Removing Stains and cleaning the carpet are 2 different services.
@@DarthYazzieyou can get similar results to an extractor with steamer and vacuum.
Steam freaks
Ima try this out next time! 👌
Some people don't understand the processes but stick to his advice. You won't regret it!
I do this every day for the past 6yrs
I personally vacuum, then use carpet cleaner, a drill brush, and shop vac or extractor vac it up. Steam cleaner seems useful, but I feel like you're missing out on the deep clean that detailing is meant for when you don't shampoo it
I basically use the same way, but I'll use the drill brush before getting the carper wet. It's just my way of doing it.
I Spray fabric softener mixed with water then use the drill brush with the brush that can clean cupholders
Does that create a bit of foam in the carpet?
@@jeremiahjeremiah1319 no
@@icymike9649 I'm looking to move to a detailing/cleaning spray that foams up
@@jeremiahjeremiah1319 try purchasing a foamer
@@jeremiahjeremiah1319 yeah if you use decent upholstery cleaner like G101 or Brisk supplied by autosmart
I love working with steam, but I am not using it on fabrics in which I have stubborn dirt before I get rid of all the debris. Which in my experience works better with a tornador than with steam. Steam and carpet cleaner is pretty much the last step.
I steam and vacuum at the same time to cut time, as well as do what you said.
I like cleaning my car but then my back starts hurting .. lol .. give it up to these guys that can do this job full time ! It takes patience and dedication
Seen people using drill with brush head to pull loose dirt out of the carpet.
Called Agitating
You are making mud if don’t vacuum fully… I don’t agree with your process
Looked for this
A Drill brush (ball) while vacuuming works well
Can you recommend the best vacuum and steamer for detailing car please? I want to start my own. Thank you
What is the name of the device you used that produces steam? Where can I get it? Thank you 💐❤
Vacuum, spray with cleaner, use brush head(wheel) or extractor depending on stains), blow out tracks, under seats, etc, finish interior detail, final vac. Not all carpets work with steam like that.
When it comes to detailing whats good for you not good for others .time is money .but not knocking this video u csn just take whatever u want from it to do a great job
great tips! thanks ❤
What did you spray on the carpet ?please lmk
What kind of steamer is the one you using can you send me the info for the steamer
You can also approach with a faster method using a tornador in those more stubborn areas around where the floor mats were laid.
what brand is your steam machine?
from the handle it looks like a vapor systems vx5000
I’m a beginner auto detailer and I was wondering if you have any tips or products that would help me.
Encapsulant is amazing. ❤ acts as a stain guard as well since it keeps working after application
I've used spray starch on the lose debris then vacuum and got great results
What steam cleaner do you use
UGH, ty!!!! What a time saver woww
I use a drill brush and a hand brush breaking the debris apart with agitation
I was struggling with tight carpet spots today. Took way too much time and still didn’t end up satisfied. This video is what I was looking for. Thank you
what's wrong with the air compressor way
I did a Kia Sorento today man it was terrible trying to get all the debris to break lose. What kind of vacuum do you use?
RAV4 carpets kills me
Steam cleaner isn't always the best option for cleaning carpet. There are different applications
I use a personal massager machine to get the loose dirt out of the carpet. Works wonders
What kind of messages does it send?
@Drew dirty ones lol I fixed it
@@TJsVette just giving ya sh*t 😉
@@drew7014 it's all good, I guess it auto corrected it and I didn't notice it lol.
Beautiful work!
Thanks for the vid😺
That's great advice
Can you recommend a steamer please❤ love your videos ...love a clean.vehicle
What’s the steamer you use ?
Toyota camry/rav4 carpets are literal sheets of velcro
What kind is steamer is he using
CAn you recommend a decent steam cleaner for home use on my vehicles. Maybe something in a light commercial application so it lasts awhile. thanks.
I just bought a bissel steamer it has all the attachments it works great!!
It's called Bissell steam shot
What steamer is this?
For the final step I would use the extractor to extract the carpet as a final.
What kind of steam cleaner is that? I tried some of the Home ones and they suck. They barely blow any steam
Thanks for this
Tremendous info!
Do you have a separate vac for extraction, or do you use your WD4070 for both dry vac and extracting?
What shampoo are you using?
And what steamer
Can I do this without a steam cleaner or anything you recommend if I don’t have one?
Why not use a turbo brush with a vacuum to maybe make the vacuum more efficient? Not knocking you, asking cuz I’m curious
What's the name of the shampoo you are using????
Detail Geek will literally sit there for 30 minutes with a vacuum on one foot well and itll look spotless , even uses a lilly brush. THEN he uses carpet solution and drill brush. A far more effective way to detail carpet in my opinion.
That would result in 2 hours of just vacuuming as a business that will kill your profits
@@jesusgaona5189 Nah, he charges extra for excessively dirty mats at $50 an hour/
@@thepretzelball in regards to him im sure his main income is CZcams with his insane amount of followers im sure he probably doesn’t even charge for detailing anymore but for anyone else taking that long would be a waste of time
@@jesusgaona5189 he still charged about 250
Unless you’re trying to operate a profitable business.
Where are you located?
I like your style sir.
I want to know how much time it takes to wash exterior and interior of the car
❤thank you
I quite like a bit of cleaning but Im not obsessive.
What orange cleaner is that
I have a steamer but smaller 😢 where can I get a big one please
How do you get rid of the white salt stains from winter season?
Warm water works, just have to keep recharging out the water, I used a pressure washer to speed it up, and use a light brush to loosen up the salt and use microfibres to absorb up the salty warm water, keep repeating it and it should go away! U can also get salt remover from any Canadian tire, if that fails it crystallizes the salt and brings it up to the surface but it’s hard on the fabric, so use that as a final step
Steam
HOT WATER mixed with VINEGAR in a spray bottle. Let its saturate. Dissolve, scrub with a brush, use a wet vac or carpet extractor on it. And repeat as needed. Trust me I learned the hard way and spent way too long trying to clean a fee stupid mats
I'd like to see what it looks like after it dries, but not vacuumed again or touched up in any way
Thats showroom floor ready if you ask me damn fine job.
Wish you were in Canada.
Sweet 😊
I wouldn’t say fantastic. Mid is a better substitute
What steamer?
Namely newer Nissan carpet, some Subaru carpet, Chevy traverse/gmc Acadia carpet, etc.
Bro missed so much in the top of the vid at the end😂😂😂😢😢😢
What vacuum do you use? I know it’s a rigid but which one
👑
What steamer u use
Try a tornador blow gun
or use latex gloves to make fibers static... faster and more effective
Yes, make sure to soak the imbedded dirt and then rub in the mud you just made all over the carpet fibres 👍
No air?
Great tips! 😊
Compressed air. Tornador.
I use the willow brush works everytime
how do i clean dry paint off the back seat carpet🙏 please help
Amazing
what if i don’t have steam cleaner
Or just use a Tornador.
Can you do me a favor I live in New York and I want to be able to do this at the car wash because I can't afford detailing and I would love to buy the machine, but I live in an apartment
Where can I get a steamer ? Anyone ?
No air gun?
Im from Nigeria
Lol...boy im glad im self-taught
How to remove salt stains?
So don't extract the carpet?
I noticed that too. He just rubbed that cleaner in with a towel and vacuumed the carpet again... IDK
So no shampoo extractor
God the Mazda carpet and even Honda carpet lately has been giving me headaches 😅
Dude wish you were located in Oklahoma 😭 Great work💪🏼
Tornador + drill brush and steam
If you dont get most of the dirt before you start adding steam and applyig pressure with the shampoo and cloth, you are rubbing what is essentially mud deeper into the carpet. You are doing a quick job, not a good job.
Using a brush head on a drill or a massage gun to agitate and loosen the dirt along with the vacuum will reduce the amount of what is essentially mud that you will create when you make it wet.
OP’s skin must be beautiful due to the steam. I am envious.
Or you could use a 21v drill with a decent Valeting attachment for upholstery and do the job right with no steam apparatus gimmicks 😂😂😂
Hey Wilson I am a 13 year old kid and I have just started my car detailing business I have made good money just cleaning cars from people that I know but I want to start going door to door in my neighborhood have any tips?
