      I wanted to know, that you could have obtained your Architect’s License without doing master’s. but you still went ahead with master’s.
      why was that?
      Also, which program did you choose for your master’s?

    • @architecture_tv
      @architecture_tv  Před 3 lety +1

      @@user-qq9fz8lm8v you could do the alternative path which is the Syllabus program or if your an international student who did a bachelor in architecture that is a min. of 5 years then you are eligible to get your education verified by the CACB without needing to do a masters. This wasn't my case since my undergrad was from Canada and it was a 4 year program. However, I have friends that have a 5 year undergrad degree from an international school and could have had their education verified by the CACB but they decided that they prefer to do a masters degree instead. They felt it was better for their personal growth (learning new topics within the field, sharpening skills, etc.) and they also had the opportunity to study.
      I did my master's at UBC in Vancouver (Master of Architecture) and I did my undergrad at Ryerson University in Toronto (Bachelor of Architectural Sciences). I'll be doing a video on my UBC experience and possibility my Ryerson experience as well. I also went to Carleton University in Ottawa before going to UBC for masters, but I didn't like the program so I ended up switching over to the UBC.

GPA gets a bit complex across the different schools and countries; www.mastersportal.com/articles/2126/what-is-a-gpa-and-why-is-it-so-important.html . Also, thought this article from Emily Carr was understanding on GPA; www.ecuad.ca/student-life/student-services/academic-advising/grade-point-average-explained . Thats a great idea, I'll add PHD in architecture to my list of videos. Thank you for the suggestion 😊

      Hi Arsalan, I would recommend looking into scholarships. I have a list on my blog which might help. See the following link: www.ashleyeusebio.com/blog/how-to-find-canadian-scholarships . Also, I would encourage you to look for more scholarships while also looking into scholarships within the UAE. Another option to consider is that many programs have entrance scholarships upon provided admission, these scholarships are typically based upon you application (portfolio, GPA, etc.). And depending on the program you apply there might be more financial aid available so make sure to do some research.
      Since I get this question a lot, I also have video that might help inspire other ideas to help fund your education; czcams.com/video/X2YDZi7IcqY/video.html
      I hope this helps. All the best.

    Hi, is a bachelors in interior design considered "non architecture" ?

    • @architecture_tv
      @architecture_tv  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Sakina! This might depend on the program so I would strongly recommend reading the admission requirements for each specific program. However, typically from my understanding it is considered a "non architecture" degree. For example: for Ryerson University master of architecture program the admission requirements states "You must hold an undergraduate pre-professional degree in architecture that is part of an accredited professional program (CACB or equivalent). College programs and degrees that are not part of an accredited architecture program are normally considered insufficient preparation for admission to the program." Here's a link if you want to read into it further; www.ryerson.ca/architectural-science/architecture/admissions/. If your still unsure upon reading the details of the admission requirements and want to double check before making an application I would recommend getting in touch with the program coordinator. I hope this helps.
