Genius move on Jake's part, honestly. Ask Tommy how confident he is, let him go on a huge monologue about how easy it's gonna be and then slap the bet proposal in his face and see if he takes it with the same confidence. You saw him reach for the glass of water and just smile after that, stand up and try to start an altercation instead of accepting the deal. I think this is exactly what Tommy was trying to avoid by dodging all the face-2-face interviews

@yaser khalid still does not take away from the fact that Jake is doing a much better job at hyping up this fight with his antics. Throwing in that bet at the last moment clearly threw Tommy off, and it adds to the overall entertainment. If it was Tommy vs some other boxer it would not have gotten as much attention regardless of it being on ESPN.

I would really appreciate shedding light on the fiasco that Sky Glass and streaming customers had last night. At the end of round 7 the feed to the event broke down and did not come back so hundreds if not thousands of paying customers didn't see the end or the decision??? There was no-one at Sky customer services to complain to or help get the event back slightly behind the live feed?? It's an absolute joke that there was no contingency for something like this. Jakes lack of footwork and head movement coming forward and putting Tommy on the back foot leaves him far more open to getting hurt or knocked out

Both of the AJ vs Ruiz fights are great examples of what will happen in this fight. In the first fight AJ, the more athletic and technical boxer, underestimated Ruiz and fought Ruiz's fight, trading in the centre of the ring and subsequently Ruiz got the "w". In the rematch AJ utilised his technical abilities and actually boxed and eventually he got the "w". I see these fights as being conducive with who gets the win in this fight!, lots of parallels here IMO.

Georgie I know you know about boxing so when it comes to that Taylor fight that was a tricky match. Meaning in the boxing industry fighters go about 50% just to make their future opponent confident that they can win against them. I truly believe Tommy was doing a tricky match because he knew Jake was in the audience. he wanted Jake to believe he could easily beat Tommy. It looked like Tommy was barely trying in that fight.
I think both fighters are going to come out and try to impose themselves early in this fight and I think as it wears on Fury will break him down.
Nobody seems to want to talk about Jake Paul has just been fighting old men and guys WAY smaller really.this kid is young and yoked and is a pretty good boxer this is gonna be a different fight for Jake Paul.

I'm surprised Tommy doesn't incorporate his training style more in his fights. I've noticed tommy in fight, collides & locks up A LOT with his opponent. Like he doesn't understand how to attack and shift & manage distance so you don't smother your own ability to stay on the offense and not abruptly getting his rhythm stopped by falling into the clinch of his opponent. (If Tommy could overcome this bad habit that I see in almost every fight he's had, then I feel like Tommy could really improve)
*It's impressive how much Jake has learned what works for him and what he's good at in such a short amount of time, and he's been able to implement it into his fights. AND he has been able to OUT perform Tommy ALREADY cardio endurance & strike out put wise. Sure Jake isn't the best but he makes what he does do well, work out well for him in fights.
Everyones a pro on the heavybag and mitts. Obviously everyones game plan is to incorporate their training style into the fights, but once youre in that ring and the fight has started, its a completely different atmosphere and your body knows it. Being able to translate your training seamlessly into your fights is something that can only be done with high level experience.

It amazes me that Tommy didn't expect this exact deal being offered. Jake alluded to waiting for the press conference to make a deal and Tommy seemed totally unprepared. If John gave him a heads up that he was going to arrange the deal himself then Tommys response could have been way less timid. Jake has made deals like this in a bunch of his fights too and Tommy seemed caught offguard.

What Jake doesnât understand is that Tommyâs former opponents are there to lose. Theyâre journeyman and pride themselves on being able to go the full distance and it allows them to get a quick turnaround for another fight without getting suspended.

I'm more of an MMA guy than boxing, so sometimes my view of who should win a boxing match is admittedly a little ignorant. That being said, I feel that Tommy has some off best people in the world in his corner who are super confident he is levels above JP (and I hope they're right). If TF loses, it doesn't look good for boxing IMO.

Leading up to this, it's been very clear that Jake is made for show business and is having fun promoting this fight. Tommy, on the other hand, is awkwardly stumbling his way through.
As stupid as this belt is, it's actually not. I am an MMA fan 1st, but the BMF belt meant something. It meant that fight sold more than any current championship PPV. This is the same deal. I bet some boxers will want a chance at this belt just because it brings more eyes and money, no doubt.

Jake Paul doesn't know what it's like to feel a boxer's power. It's different from feeling the power of a 40-50 year old MMA fighter who have a wider base of skills. See the Mayweather vs McGregor fight as an example of this. Everyone thought McGregor being bigger and a hard hitter in MMA meant that he'd take Floyd out. But Floyd just walked him down without the Philly Shell and got his first stoppage in years

I think the biggest mistake is not paying Logan. Logan had to sue Floyd to get some of his money. Floyd still didn't paying him the full amount.
