    Nice review Luca. Yep love the 40-45mm field of view.

    That flare wide open is really cool, love it!

    good review my friend!

    At f2.8, the Konica Hexanon AR 40mm is not bad. At 1.8 strong reflections ,koma :-) It has super ergonomics. I am very much looking forward to testing the new Color Skopar 28/90mm ( 35/90 ) This combination could be the end of my search - excellent optics and ergonomics.

      Naaa, I've the Konica 40mm f1.8 as well and it's a crappy lens if compared to this 40mm f2 (sharp already from f2)

    Hi Luca, great video and review of the Voigtlander. I share the same liking for the 40mm focal length too. Something special about it which I can't put to words! Haha.
    My combination is slightly odd. I recently purchased the Canon 40mm F2.8 pancake and adapted to S5 with Sigma MC-21. Looking forward to see how this combo fares!

      @LucaBono.Studio  Před 2 lety

      Hey John! That's a great combo as well! Is the autofocus working good with your setup?

      @@LucaBono.Studio Thanks for asking! The AF-S on Canon 40m works well in photo and video mode. A little slow but it's get there. However, as you know, the Sigma adapter doesn't allow for AF-C.
      Manual focusing, on the other hand, has much noise, like a mechanical whirl.
      For my use in casual video, it's a focus-once before shooting kind of setup. I actually got it more for photography. What drawn me was the light weight, affordable price and 40mm focal length. It's good enough!

    I just finished testing 40mm f1.2 Nokton and Skopar 28mm f2.8. Vignetting, cat eyes. Barrels. Leica R glass still wins, I order another 135mm :-)

      Yes, the Leica R and Zeiss Classic are better lenses ... I've just sold this voigtlander 40mm f2 because of the strong onion rings in the bokeh 😅

    I did see a video about Leica SL and it would be interesting to see a comparison about how voigtlander perform on S5 vs SL

    • @LucaBono.Studio
      @LucaBono.Studio  Před 2 lety +1

      Sadly, I don't have the Leica SL anymore...but I'm sure that the lens will perform better on the Leica body.

    hey this last shot 3:50 was this scene of the child jumping filmed with an s5?
    and second question, would you say both s1 & s5 are relatively the same?

    • @LucaBono.Studio
      @LucaBono.Studio  Před 2 lety

      Hi! Yes, it was filmed with the S5. Yeah the S1 and S5 are really similar cameras, but I prefer the S1. There few videos about it on the channel. Cheers!

    How do you find going between backwards nikon focus and standard focus? Muscle memory must play tricks on you sometimes?

    • @LucaBono.Studio
      @LucaBono.Studio  Před 2 lety

      Hey Hendri! Most of the time, I use this lens or my set of Zeiss ZF lenses handheld...so I'm pretty used to the inverted focus ring. When I use the set of Leica R lenses, I generally use a wireless follow focus to keep my brain away from bugs ahahaha...I never mix different lenses on a project, it's confusing to use different focus rotations! Thanks for watching!

      @@LucaBono.Studio I’ve been keeping an eye on the ZF Milvus lenses, but that backwards focus puts me off. I did have a look on ebay, and these Ultron lenses are available in other mounts - presumably focusing the correct way.
