    Very interesting time piece. Spectacular finishes and attention to detail. The movement is really something else. The only down side for me is I don’t quite understand this niche market, just can’t seem to shake the QVC vibe, no matter how well of a job this watch maker has done. All in all, it was great to have the opportunity to learn about what BHM is able to produce.

    The watch is stunning, nicest watch I've seen for quite a while, love what they have done with movement.

    Wow a special edition watch that actually defines special edition and until this video I wasn't aware that a 6497 had ever been equipped with an automatic module not even SOPROD modules Thanks for another outstanding review my friend 👍

      Glad you enjoyed it Michael. This modified movement is unique to this brand (BHM and Cimier) and offered only in their watches.

      Well ..retail, I am sure the production cost is much lower than that as in all watches

    Weird, passed all our national "OXI" day sanding and painting a furniture i did, sanding was the same sound... 😉😋 Then i thought who the f is buying watches from such a brand, just to answer myself "Central Europeans dude!" (yup, call myself dude, why not???), half a month's salary for... another watch, easy peasy. Ok, teasing aside i'd say it's big, bold, quirky, guess for a cellebration reason. The silver dial is more "normal, especially with a central seconds hand, but none would make me want any. Wind and movement might give you "satisfaction" but i won't get'em on my hands. So, enjoy mate (or may i tease you again by saying "Great gift"...!!!!).
    Be well mate. Thanks.
    PS I hope things are getting better over there, here is exactly the opposite but noone is admiting it because of the fear of (possibly closed) markets. Go figure...

    I also think that the steel blue dial variant would be a stunnung daly watch.The finish of this watch is like on a mutch expensive watches.I just enjoy here on this chanel.Tnx again

      Totally agree with your assessment about that blue one, visually and practically a much more usable timepiece for sure. This rose gold variant for me looks and feels more of a display collectable piece

    @Bluepeter62 Před 2 lety +1

    This Unitas movement was designed for pocket watches, this is the reason why it is this big. If you like this movement you cant really complain about the size of the watch because big movements dont fit in small watches.

    Thanks for bringing us another off the radar piece. The case shape is very alluring, and the movement is very interesting, however the overall aesthetic doesn't work for me. As for the price, PVD? 5 K AUD? Methinks not.. A definite conversation piece though...

    Another attractive watch I’m ashamed to say I’ve never heard of before. I’m a simp for rose gold and the dimensions (if you can pull them off) don’t seem too large due to the L2L distance. A really cool piece nice job!

  • @morgan97475
    @morgan97475 Před 2 lety +1

    Thanks for introducing me to this brand. Nice looking piece but it a bit too large for me. It'd be great if it were a few mm smaller.

  • @135ipocketrocket2
    @135ipocketrocket2 Před 2 lety +2

    Manual to auto conversion? How cool is that?! I actually just came across this brand a week ago. Great to hear some back story. Kind of reminds me of leatherworks brands that later got into watches.
    I know they are distributed through a Hong Kong e-commerce group, and maybe some reputation negatives there, with many complaints that they are an MLM type scam. But I guess BHM is okay with them, as opposed to doing their own distribution. Saves money, no doubt.
    Not sure I'd put five grand toward a relatively obscure brand, as opposed to established players, but what a beautiful freebie! I'm debating another model, only about 1,000 USD, but not sure if I can justify the price, for an SW200 powered, 100m WR watch.
    I will say they are very good looking! Great review, as always. Size is perfect. A nice trophy on the wrist!

    • @PeterKotsa
      @PeterKotsa  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah a few people have the same concerns about distribution etc....you're right though it does save the company hassles and money in the long run

    • @135ipocketrocket2
      @135ipocketrocket2 Před 2 lety +1

      @@PeterKotsa Yes, and I see that QNET (the distribution company) really pushes the "luxury watch" idea of the brand, plus the heritage, although most of their history is metal work, of course, and they don't rank with established luxury brands. Certainly not an Armin Strom, lol, but not $71,000 either.
      Overall, leaves me thinking the pricing is a bit inflated, due to the aforementioned QNET marketing hype. Still a very beautiful piece though! Even the one I'm looking at, it's probably priced at twice the competition, although it looks fantastic (but only 100m as a diver is odd).
      What's your assessment of fit and finish? On par for their asking price?

    • @PeterKotsa
      @PeterKotsa  Před 2 lety +1

      @@135ipocketrocket2 Very good points..Fit and finish is very good, no complaints here. Overall I think around $2k would be a more viable option. Inflated price (as are so many watches today), but being a LE run with a 18K gold coin and a specialised movement etc.
      Definitely a specific piece for a very small market type (niche)
      Does it look good in the hand?..yes absolutely, unique and finished really well.
      Does it have a purpose part from being a display piece?..for me not really, maybe the blue one yes for sure
      cheers

    Hiya Pete, awesome review and stunning macro footage. The watch itself....eh I don't really know. Quite small hands for this size of watch. And I know this commemorative coin thing is where this watch company come from bur it does distract too much in my opinion. 5 grand, I think I'd spend on a different watch. Cheers mate ✌

    An odd bird for sure. Is this gratis example one of the 150 limited edition run? This brand at that price, a bit difficult to reconcile, but a couple of quick Google searches and the sketch QNET MLM exclusivity is a ^^major^^ red flag.

    • @PeterKotsa
      @PeterKotsa  Před 2 lety

      They partnered many years ago with QNET for all global distribution of their products.

    • @PeterKotsa
      @PeterKotsa  Před 2 lety +1

      Ouch..😊
      I think thats a bit harsh brother...nonetheless, the watch is quite unique and very striking here in the hand. But like I said in my review, I feel that the blue version is a much more wearable option as this on is more of a display cabinet piece.
      From a company that manufactured medallions and incorporating them into watches, it think they've done a pretty good job here with both the blue and rose gold.
      A niche market for sure and yes definitely not for everyone
      Hope your well Leonidas, stay safe mate 🙏
      Cheers
