- I reacted to all the colleges I applied to for the fall of 2022. I applied to nine colleges all of which are located in the state of California. This was one of the most prestigious years for applying to colleges so congrats to everybody who got through this tough process! Hope you enjoy the video :)

congratulations!!! i was literally in the EXACT same situation! i was hopeful once i got into santa cruz, but then i got rejected from ucla and uci and lost hope. a few days later tho, i got into uc berkeley!! proud of us!!
Congratulations to you!!! Proud of us as well!!
As a parent, I have watched your video several times. The sheer shock on your face and subsequent immeasurable joy always lift my spirits. Congrats to you!
So happy you posted this because it’s so real and it’s reality! This is proof that you really never know what college decisions will be. Congrats!
Congratulations on going to UC Berkeley!
I really was sad you didn’t get into USC(was rooting for you).
That being said, there are a lot of factors that make an acceptance very random.
I got accepted and graduated from USC many years ago.
It was one of the most formative years of my life and I am very proud of that, but…
It was difficult to be accepted to USC when I did, but it’s extremely harder now and I probably wouldn’t of gotten in with today’s crushing standards.
I hope that you do very well at Berkeley and who knows, if you work hard you may want to try to go to graduate school at USC someday.
It might be your destiny, just postponed a bit.
And even if it’s not, you seem like a very bright girl and Berkeley is a very, very good school.
The life you make in this world will not be determined by the name of the school you went to but the path you followed after you went there…
Best wishes, and go take on the world and make it a better place for you and everyone else…
Fight On ✌🏻
Watching this the night before Berkeley's decision come out. I really hope that miracles can happen to me!!!
Congratulations!!! You did it!!! God's blessings on your future endeavors...Praying for your success at Berkeley!! Go Bears!!🐻💙💛
Girl I got rejected from Bard which has a 53% acceptance rate but here I am being in the NYU class of 2026! I thought I was done for 😭 congrats!!
These decisions are so random. Congrats on NYU!!
@@sportychicken8207 Thank you!! 💗
NO SAME I got into uci which was 21% this year but didn’t get into George Washington OR Maryland which are like 45-50% 😀
I'm currently going through the admission decision process and I got waitlisted at davis:/ But I'm watching these videos during the time period
Loved the look of shock, then sheer joy on your face when you got your Berkeley acceptance!!! It was a nail-biter, but it turns out it was a good thing you saved the best UC for last!! Gooooo Bears!!!! Say hi to Oski for me!
This video is a keeper!! Sooo proud of you! Go bears!!
Congrats Genna! Very proud of you!
So glad you posted this video. Super helpful for many students. Best of luck at Cal.
Congrats Go Bears!!! 🐻🐻
Very good help for class of 2028😭 I am literally stressing my shit out. Thank you for the advice
I applied to 4 UCs - I got accepted to UCSD and UCR and was rejected from UCLA and UCI so i got into half so I was happy lol
As soon as u bet on ur dogs life I was like “she’s totally getting in”. 🤣🤣🤣. I’m glad ur dog is still alive. 🤣🤣
Congratulations 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
your mom is so cute! Congratulations!! 🎈
YOUR DOG LMAOOO
Yay! Congrats!
Would love to hear more about how your school is different. Congratulations! 🎉
congrats 🎉 🎊
Berkeley is actually harder to get into than UCLA.
No it isn't. UCLA acceptance rate is 10.8%, UC Berkeley is 14.4%. Also, UCLA was ranked higher, or was up until the 2023 year, now they're both at #20 nationally.
According to Berkeley's admissions site, its acceptance rate was 11.2% in 2023, so there's not much difference here. Also, while they're both UCs, the applicant pool is a little different (for instance, Berkeley draws more engineering prospects).@@calm713
So cool! So slay 🎉🎉
Riley was like "WTF did she just say?" 😄
decisions are beginning to come out now and i also got rejected from davis, still waiting on the others. what were your highschool stats if you dont mind me asking? (weighted/unweighted gpa)
So my weighted gpa wasn't great because my high school only allowed us to take a couple college courses per semester as our "weighted rigorous courses" so it was closer to 4.1, and my unweighted gpa was a 3.8. And I tried to take the SAT in high school but ultimately with covid and everything decided not to submit it in my applications. So my application was a lot more strong on the extracurriculars, essays, and the quality of the classes/courses I took. But don't stress too much about your application since you've already submitted it and all you can do is wait to see your decisions. Just remember that these decisions are compelety random and don't define who you are. Best of luck with the decisions!!
Hello! Would you be willing to share some of your stats?
Did the UC Santa Cruz email say that you were accepted or did you have to sign into the actually portal to see if you were accepted or not?
For Santa Cruz they just sent an email saying you were accepted you shouldn’t have to log in to see it
@@sportychicken8207 thank you!! I find out if I got in next month. So nervous😅
Congratulations what Major did you apply to ?
