This helped me out alot. I use irrigation water but the idea and how you implemented the hoses and the parts you used were very helpful.

Thank you for the nice comment. I’m glad that you found this helpful! My intention is to just help some people out and save them some time and headache! :) A lot of us are working on similar projects so information sharing is very useful! After watching countless CZcams videos I figured I may as well contribute when I can.

@dustyathome9824 can you tell me how you initially got this pump primed please? 🥺 I've got a inch intake hose direct to pump, everbilt 1inch foot valve at end it doesn't seem to suck any water. I've added water to the pump itself via the intake plug but it just pumps that water out and won't suck from hose. Any help would be appreciated 😊. Or maybe you can point me to a video that shows how to prime - thank you 🙏

What I do is fill the intake hose with water. Should be able to add water to the pump and slowly fill up the hose if it’s already connected and if intake hose is lower than the pump.
      Hope this helps.

I am looking for something like this for a small flower garden. is this pump able to sit out in the weather for long periods of time?

I empty the water from the hose and pump and store it inside in the winter when not in use. I have left it outside uncovered the rest of the time. It probably would last longer with a roof over it but I haven’t done that, yet anyways.

How long can you let it run before having to shut it off?
    Can it run indefinitely?

The longest I have run it is probably 8 hours. I’d check a product listing/detail to find your answer, as I’m uncertain. For me, I would fear the foot valve getting clogged with muck and/or weeds over time and blocking water flow and then the pump getting damaged from loosing prime. However, I suspect this may not be a concern if you have cleaner water than I do and then it just comes down to if manufacturer designed it for continuous running and sorry but I do not have that answer.

It seems underpowered, I was expecting a huge jet of water.

Depends on your setup. The pressure you see in this video is simultaneously running 3 walking sprinklers (up hill) from that “cheap” pump. If you run less sprinklers you get more pressure.

Also, the less hose length each sprinkler drags, the faster they move. Sometimes I would give the hose a pull to create slack to move them faster.

I can't prime this thing for the life of me :(
